Chapter Eighteen

I'm now six months pregnant, our baby girl has been moving around like crazy. Trying to plan a wedding, get ready for the new baby, keep my relationship together with Emily, and work full-time. It takes a lot out of you.

I'm currently cleaning up around the house while Emily is out with the boys. We've been trying to get them out of the house more if we are off. She decided to take them to the movies and the zoo.

Michael's first birthday is in a few weeks and we've been planning something for that. We decided to have it at Rossi's mansion, just a small get together with family and friends. He recently started walking and saying "mama". He waddles everywhere Emily goes, we've had to put up baby gates and socket protectors up.

It was around 6 o'clock when they finally made it home. I heard the sounds of keys being put down, shoes being thrown in the hall closet and whining, probably from Michael because Emily put him down for a second. I got up and made my way to the front door.

"Hey.."

"Mama!!" Michael said as he saw me, his little arms waving around. Emily put him down and he half ran half walked over to me. I picked him up even though Emily protested.

"He's fine Emily. Did you have fun today?" I asked him tickling his neck.

"Rawr!!" He said trying to scare me. I faked jumped and did it back.

"Did he just learn that?" I asked Emily as we all made our way to the kitchen so they could get some water.

"Yup! We saw the lions and tigers! We also got to see the monkeys and snakes and elephants! Emmy got us a membership too, she said I can bring my friends next time!" Henry said, talking a mile a minute about everything they saw. Emily showed me pictures of them, Henry got to hold a snake and a monkey sat on Emily's shoulder.

"I'm so glad you guys had fun, can you take Michael so you guys can wash your hands? Once you're done you can get a snack." I watched as he helped Michael to the downstairs bathroom.

"Thank you for taking them out" I said as I stood in front of Emily wrapping my arms around her neck, her hands automatically going to my stomach.

"Of course baby. They loved it, I wish you would've came"

"I know, I had a lot of stuff to do around the house, you needed alone time with them anyways." She pulled me closer, well as close as we could get.

"I think... I think I wanna adopt the boys..." I looked at her with a shocked expression, tears swimming in my eyes.

"Are you serious...?"

"Yeah Jennifer I'm serious. I love those boys so much, I don't want them to feel like the new baby is not related to them you know? I want us to be whole. I want them to have my last name" I grabbed her face pulling her into a kiss, pulling back when breathing became a problem.

"I would love for them to have your last name Emily."

It's been two weeks since Emily asked to adopt the boys, I called my lawyer immediately after that and the papers are finally here. It was my first day back at work when my lawyer called me.

"Emily" I called out as I stepped outside my office door "Can you come up here please?" I didn't wait for an answer as I stepped back into my office.

"You rang?" I heard her ask as she stepped into my office a few seconds later. She closed the door behind her.

"My lawyer called. The papers are ready to be signed!" She walked over to me pulling me into a hug as best as she could. The baby kicked her as she did.

"I can't believe this is happening, I'm adopting Henry and Michael" she gave me a big kiss before pulling away "come on let's take an early day, go pick up the kids and celebrate"

"Okay I'll go ask Hotch and I'll meet you at your desk" she gave me one last peck and left going back to the bullpen. I went straight to Hotch's office after she left. Once I explained what was going on he let us go and gave us the next day off.

We made it home around 8 o'clock that night. After we spent 2 hours at the lawyers office getting all the important documents done, we headed to get the boys from daycare and school. We went to the mall and got them some new shoes, toys, and whatever else they wanted. Well, whatever Henry wanted. Michael just wanted to chew on everything.

Emily took the boys upstairs to get them ready for bed while I made sure the downstairs was clean and locked up for the night.

We decided to let the boys sleep with us tonight, Henry took his place beside Emily while I had Michael. We turned on the Incredibles to watch. We all slept 30 minutes into the movie.

After all these years I finally get the family I want. This could've been my life years ago but I wouldn't have had Henry or Michael, those boys mean the world to me, I couldn't imagine life without them.

I have a beautiful baby girl growing inside of me, an amazing fiancé that treats me like a Queen and the best sons you could ever want. Life is good.

It's gonna get even better in the months to come.
