We found ourselves some empty seats on one of the cars and take a seat across each other. I cross my arms across my chest and turn to look out the window. I heard that we won't be the only ones going in this mission. The two Kamado siblings and their friends would be joining too. I wonder where they are now.

-Battle On Mugen Train-

Y/N P.O.V

I hear rustling across from me. I turn my head to see it's Rengoku-San. He's taking out a bento box. He turn his head to look at me.

"Want some?" He asked, offering a bento box to me. I just smile at what he said and lightly shake my head. I'm still quite full after eating the ramen earlier. He just hum at my respond.

He opens the bento box and take a bite. A grin spread across his lips. "Umai!" He yelled out. I jump at his sudden outburst. From the corner of my eyes, I see that everyone have turned their attention towards us.

I feel my cheeks growing warm at the unwanted attention we're getting from the other passengers. I just want to sink under the seats to hide. The situation doesn't help either, since Rengoku-San keeps yelling out the same word over and over again. I wish he'd just quite down a little.

"Rengoku-San? Y/N-San?" Someone said. I turn my head to see Kamado and his friends. I offer them a soft smile as Agatsuma starts blushing at the sight of me. He's about to rush towards me when Kamado grabs the back of his shirt collar. "Be respectful, Zenitsu!" He scolded the yellow head. He whined as he walks off, taking a seat with the boar masked boy next to him.

Kamado moved to take a seat next to Rengoku-San. I let out a soft sigh and turn my head to look out the window again. I feel glad that Rengoku-San didn't start to yell out again. Now everyone's attention isn't on us anymore, and that means I can finally breathe easy.

The conductor walks up to us to punch a hole on each of our tickets. I hand mine to him. I eyed him suspiciously. He looks so sickly pale. It's like he's sick. I want to ask him but at the same time, I don't want to offend him. So I just stay silent.

"A demon..." I muttered, feeling a presence in the room. I stand up and turn to face the conductor. The light in the train starts to flicker. I reach inside my cape and take out my flute.

"I'll handle this one, Y/N..." Rengoku-San said. I just nod my head and back down, placing my flute back on my waist strap. He turn his head to look at the demon. He uses his Flame Breathing technique and kills the demon with ease.

"There's another one..." I said, feeling another presence in the train. I rush towards the demon and take out my flute. I place it on my lips as I start to play a deadly tune that works only on demons. The demon's body starts to get bloated until it explodes.

"Amazing work, Y/N" I hear Rengoku-San said. I turn to face him and smiles. He gently pat my shoulder. "I'm so glad that you're on our side" he said.

"Of course. I refuse to side those evil ones" I said. We take a seat on our seats again. I feel my eyes growing heavy. My head starts nodding off until I finally give up, letting my head rest against the window instead. I close my eyes, letting myself drift off to sleep.

Dream

I blink my eyes a couple of times. I look around the area to see I'm standing near a lake. I turn to look at the sky to see it's night time. I furrow my eyebrows in confusion as I look around once again. Shouldn't I be inside a train and on a mission?

"Y/N!" A voice said. I turn around to see a boy about my age. He rushes towards me and stops until he stands in front of me. "Are you okay, Y/N? I looked behind me and realize you weren't coming... are you feeling pain again, Y/N?" He asked, staring at me worriedly.

"Pain?" I questioned, furrowing my eyebrows as I stare at the boy in front of me in confusion. He tilt his head to look at me weirdly. He walks towards me and leans down to be on the same eye-level with mine.

"You're sick, remember?" He said. Me? Sick...? I don't know I'm sick. He stands straighter when he notices the look of confusion on my face. "Are you sure you're okay, Y/N? Should I take you home?" He asked.

"Sorry... but who are you?" I asked. He let out a gasp at what I said. He places his hands on my shoulder as he starts to shake me lightly. I just stare at him as he keeps shaking me.

"Don't joke around, Y/N! How could you say you forgot about me?! It's me!! Your best friend!" He said. I just stare at him, not knowing how to react. He frowns as he let his hands drop on his sides.

"I looked away from you for a second... and when I came back to check on you, you said you don't remember me?" He said, placing his hands on his hips while pouring at me. I just shake my head lightly. He let out a sigh. He crossed his arms as he stares at me. I stay silent as he said his name.

Something isn't right. This is just a a dream. I am on a mission on the Mugen Train to help Rengoku-San fight. I've got to wake up. Who knows what's going on in the real world.

"I'm sorry. I don't remember you. And I've got to wake up" I said. I grab my flute and starts to play a melody. This one is to free myself from the effect of a Demon's Blood Art.

End of Dream

I gasp awake as I sit up. I look around and realize I'm back on the train. Everything is covered in flesh. They are all moving like they're alive. The scent of demon came from all direction and it's disrupting my sense of smell. I click my tongue in annoyance.

"Y/N-San! You're awake!" Someone said. I turn my head to see Kamado. "The demon have merged his body to this train. Now every part of this train have become him. Can you protect the passenger while me and Inosuke try our best to defeat this demon?" He said.

"Okay. Be careful out there" I said. He grins and nods his head. I turn my head to look at the passengers. My eyes widen when I realize the fleshes are trying to attack the passenger. I grab my flute and play a soft melody that forms a shield surrounding everyone here.

I'm gonna have to keep playing this melody until Kamado and his friend figure out a way to end this demon. The whole time I'm playing. The only thing on my mind was that boy in my dream scape. The boy who claimed to be my best friend.

I shake my head, I shouldn't think about that boy in the middle of the battle. I have to focus on the mission. I can think more about him later. I open my eyes as I focus on playing the melody to keep everyone here safe.

As the time passes, I feel my body growing tired from using too much energy to channel my Blood Art through my flute. I can't possibly summon my dragon inside a train since she's too big for a room this small. Kamado... Hashibira... please hurry!
