Who are you now?

Who are you now

After the words

Are long and gone

And the scars

Still fresh and raw

Stop stinging

And the rope is tied

Tightly around your neck

And you are on the ground

Crying your eyes out

Because you weren't strong enough.

Who are you now

After the pain

And the suffering

Was it all a test

To see if we were strong enough

Or a sign

That we aren't good enough.

Who are you now

Will you recover

And leave what happened in the past

In the past

Or will it continue to haunt you

For the rest of your life

Until your strong enough

To pick up that rope again

And put it on your neck.

Who are you now

A crazy reject

Or a survivor?

Who are you now

After the wounds heal

And all the people

Who broke you down

Are long and gone

When all of the blades

Are long gone

In the trash.

Who are you now

After all this pain

Does it make you a better person

Or a person haunted by the past?
