I was at soccer practice afterschool with my best friend Ali. Tomorrow was a big game for us so we had to get a lot of practice in. Are coach made us get into are positions for tomorrow's game. I got into my spot which was defense. I think i'm alright at defense. Ali plays in the front which is called center forward.
We all got into our spots and the coach looked around at where people were. Just then our coach said this.
"Madi switch places with Ali." Coach says.
"What?" I say confused turning my head over to him.
"You heard me switch places with Ali." Coach says to me.
"But I can't, I'm way better at defense." I say trying to defend my spot.
"Yeah coach Madi is better at defense." Ali says walking up to us.
"No i want Madi in the front it's better that way." Coach says.
"But-" I say but get cut off.
"Go." Coach says glaring at me. I stubbornly make my way to the front spot.
"Remember thees are your spots for tomorrow, make sure you guys work." Coach says.
Me and Ali grab our bags and start walking to the front of the school.
"Can you believe he switched our spots?" I say angrily.
"No, why would he do that your way better at defense than me." Ali says upset as well. I get a text from Nick that they're here to pick me up.
"Oh Ali I'm gonna go now they're here." I say hugging her.
"Ok bye, my mom's still driving." Ali says hugging me back.
"Ok text me when you get home bye." I say walking to the van.
"Hey Madi." They all say at the same time.
"Why do you guys do that it's so creepy." I say.
"What do you mean?" Nick asked.
"When you guys are in sync and say stuff at the same time it's creepy." I say.
"Well we are triplets." Nick says.
We were now just sitting in the car and i'm really annoyed on why my coach switched my spot with Ali's, there is no way i can play the front.
"What's wrong Madi is everything ok?" Nick asked looking at me.
"My coach switched me and Ali's spot, I'm now in the front." I say angrily.
"I'm sure you'll be fine." Matt says.
"Yeah and It's just like playing defense." Chris encourages me.
"Yeah but it's in the front and i hate being in the front." I say upsettingly.
"Madi you'll be fine don't overthink it." Matt says.
"Alright." I say taking a deep breath. I didn't like being front because it gave me so much anxiety. But i'm just gonna listen to Matt and not overthink it.
Time skip/game day:
It was the big game day and our mom and dad and Nick, Matt, and Chris came to watch my game.
"Alright i gotta go now bye." I say to all of them before i head to the field with Ali.
"Good luck Madi!" They all say and Me and Ali start heading to the field.
"Are you ok about the spot changing?" Ali asked me as we were speed walking over to the field.
"I'm still a little bit nervous but trying not to overthink it too much." I say.
