Madi's pov:
It's the next day and obviously I had to tell Ali everything that had happened the other night when I left the party, so we were playing soccer while talking about it in the park
"So did you guys make up" Ali asked kicking the ball away from me.
"Yeah, but he had to leave" I said.
"What, then what did you do" Ali asked
"Nothing I just went back inside and went to sleep" I said
"But, what about the triplets did they hear you what happened to them?" Ali said
"They were eavesdropping from Matt's room" I said "Ali I'm tired can we sit on the bench please"
"Yeah sure" Ali said "But that's it?"
"Yeah and then now I'm here sitting on bench with you telling you everything that had happened last night" I said but then I stopped mid sentence when a familiar girl was walking towards me and Ali.
It was Valerie? The girl who only became friends with me to flirt with Matt, and the one I got into an argument with.
"Why is Valerie walking up to us" Ali whispered to me.
"I don't know just act normal" I whispered back
"Hey" Valerie said looking shy for some reason like we'd never met before.
"Hi Valerie" Me and Ali both said
"It's been awhile" Ali said.
"Yeah" Valerie said "listen Ali do you mind if I speak to Madi please alone"
"Yeah sure" Ali said and I got up and walked with Valerie.
Then we stopped till Valerie thought we were far enough from Ali I guess. What did she want? We hadn't spoken in months.
"listen Madi I'm really sorry for what I did, it wasn't cool for me to just use you like that" Valerie said "I'll understand if you won't forgive me if I were you I probably wouldn't either but the truth is you were such a great friend to me and I just was so terrible and I'm sorry for everything that I put you through that day"
I was kind of surprised on how desperate she wanted me to forgive her, and I felt bad. It's been months and maybe she's changed.
"Valerie I forgive you it's alright" I said. Just then she pulled me into a tight hug then let go.
"So what's been happening with you lately?" She asked. I told her most of what had happened between me and Nate. Ali was bored cause she had already heard the story, so mid way while I was explaining it to Valerie Ali said she was gonna go.
"It seems to me Madi, that Nate sounds like a immature person" Valerie said
"No, no he's not if you knew him you would know what he's really like" I said.
"But the whole big fight he left you alone, you should find someone better for yourself that makes you feel happy" Valerie said
"But I am happy with Nate" I said.
"Are you sure" Valerie said
"Yeah, I mean we fight a lot but we always make up after that fight only lasted longer then our usual ones" I said "I mean it didn't even last a day"
"See you fight a lot isn't that messed up" Valerie said.
"Well everyone fights like me and you we fought and we forgave each other today" I said. I was beginning to think maybe Valerie was right. But no, no she wasn't right, no.
"Listen Valerie I'm gonna go ok?" I said "I'll see around" I got up before she could say anything else to me.
Later that day:
"What'd she even say to you" Ali asked
"She asked about me and I told her about me and Nate and she told me about how me and Nate fight a lot and its not good for us" I said "and she said I should find someone that makes me feel happy"
"You know she knows nothing right?" Ali said
"I don't know I was kind of feeling like she was right but then again I knew she wasn't" I said
"good see don't believe her" Ali said "Madi you trusted her really quick, she doesn't even really know what's going on, if she knew she would probably have a different response about what you told her about yourself"
"I don't know" I said unsure.
I explained everything that had happened about Valerie to Nate cause he had no idea who she was.
"She said you were a immature person" I said
"What does she know, She doesn't even know me and I don't even know her" He said
"Then she said that after our fight that I should find someone better for myself that makes me feel happy" I said
"Do you feel like that" He asked
"Do I feel like what" I said
"That if you should find someone else that makes you feel happy" He said
"No I love you" I said (A/n: yeah I was debating on using this but I figured it would help in the next part 🫢)
"I love you too" He said
