Harry woke to the sounds of shuffling. He felt like he barely slept at all.

"Ugh, Ron," Harry grumbles, "What time is it?"

"No need to be insulting Potter." Comes Malfoy's pretentious drawl. Harry sits up, remembering where he is and the night before.

"Seriously, what time is it?" Harry rubs his eyes, watching Malfoy straighten his bed, of course Malfoy would know a spell for making his bed and not actually have to do it himself.

"Ten to Five." Malfoy walks to the door and leaves without saying anything else.

Harry lays in bed trying to go back to sleep. He never pictured the Slytherin Prince being an early riser. He suspected that Malfoy would lounge around all day in bed if he didn't have classes... at least sleep as long as Ron and him did on the weekends. A year ago, he would be thinking that Malfoy was up to something, something nefarious. Stop thinking Harry! Harry yelled at himself inside his head but it was too late, he was up.

"Stupid Malfoy and his stupid manners, making my bed, he could have left it but nooo, the perfect Prince just had to be... I don't know... Stupid Malfoy." Harry mumbles under his breath as he gets out of bed.

Harry showers again, normally since he showered last night, he would just get dressed but hopefully the water will wake him up a bit. He has four hours before his first class and two and a half before he could go to breakfast. "Ugh, stupid Malfoy..." Harrys decides to put on some muggle clothes and go down to the lake with his sketchpad.

Walking down the stairs he was surprised to find Neville already up. Granted he was still in his pajamas.

"You're up early, Harry." Neville yawns and starts fussing with a plant.

"Yeah, why are you up?"

"My Nan found this plant for me over the summer. I'm not sure what it is yet, I'm going to show Professor Sprout after class today, but it has to be watered every day at sunrise. It's already grown 7 and a half centimeters..." Neville smiles but stops, noticing Harry's glazed over expression. "Where are you going, Harry?"

"Down to the lake, you wanna come?"

"Yeah, let me get dressed." Neville takes his plant back to his room.

Harry sits down to wait. He loves that fact he can sit on both the green and red chairs in the room. He usually picks a green chair whenever he hangs out with Ron now just because he knows how much it bothers him. Harry's grinning as Neville and Ernie join him.

"Hey Ernie, you coming too?"

"Yeah, you don't mind?"

"Not at all." Harry smiles as the three boys make their way to the lake. "Are you always up this early?"

Ernie yawns, "Unfortunately, my mum is really strict about wasting time and she always makes us get up with the sun. I guess I'm just use to it now."

Harry finds a spot underneath a tree and starts sketching. Ernie and Neville are trying to find stones to skip across the lake. Ernie bet 5 galleons that he can make it further than Neville.

"I don't know Ernie, Neville's pretty good." Harry never stops drawing, "He beat all of us in our second year."

Ernie and Neville skip all the stones they found, and Ernie pulls 5 galleons from his pocket. They sit down near Harry and watch the world wake up. They sit like that in comfortable silence for twenty minutes before something catches Neville's eye. He motions to Ernie and he looks over to the Quidditch pitch too. Harry looks to see what has his friend's attention.
