Draco leaves the shower after his morning run; he could get used to having a room all to himself. He thought sharing with just one person was wonderful but this, this is the best. Even if he immediately feels guilty for enjoying the room while Theo's locked away in St. Mungo's.
He needs to find Potter; he wasn't on their run this morning. Finnigan wasn't in their room when he went to check. He wishes he knew what happened, what that fight was actually about. Hermione had kittens when she returned from the library, not because she missed the fight but because she knows that Potter will try to get out of going to the Yule Ball. Her ball, Susie, Daphne and Padma looked just as pissed, so I guess it's their ball.
Hopefully he'll be at breakfast. He wouldn't miss the quidditch game. They've been working so hard with those seekers. Of course, he wants Ravenclaw to win since he is a Slytherin and rooting for Gryffindor just seems wrong. Too many years of animosity towards that particular house but still. He does like that Ian boy, he's a great kid but Kyle needs all the support he can get. Maybe he'll just wear his Slytherin colors. No, he can't do that to those boys. Now, where did he put that hat and scarf Potter gave him? The one he can charm to show different colors.
"Dray, are you coming to breakfast or not?" Greg stands outside his door.
"I can't find my hat and scarf."
Greg walks in, "Come here, I'll tell you a secret." Putting an arm across his shoulders, "You're a wizard." Greg pulls his wand, "Accio hat and scarf." He laughs as the missing items escape from under the bed.
"You used to be the nice one." Draco grins, "What happened? I blame Zabini, he corrupts everything."
"Well, well, well, is that slander I hear." Blaise smiles. "You wound me, Dray. We all know that it's that lioness that has ruined our sweet Goyle; she's putting too much common sense in his head. I preferred that vacant space, but alas, all good things must come to an end."
"If you're done, I would like to go get some food before the game." Greg pulls Draco towards the door, "You can be a couple of assholes eating breakfast just as easy."
"Fine..." Blaise smirks, "Today, my dear friends, is the day I get a date to the Yule Ball. Gregory has already beaten me. I cannot allow our Prince to get a date before me. My reputation is on the line."
"Who are you going to ask?"
"I've thought long and hard and the lucky vixen will be Hufflepuff's own Hannah Abbott."
"She's going with Neville." Greg smirks.
"Did I say Hannah? I meant to say Ravenclaws beautiful Mandy Brocklehurst."
"She's been dating Anthony Goldstein for months." Draco pats him on the back.
"Of course, I knew that. The lucky lady is our very own Daphne Greengrass."
"She's going with Terry Boot."
"Really, he's such a tosser."
"I think it's a pity thing." Greg laughs, "You should try that... get a pity date, someone should feel bad for you."
"Piss off, I can do this." Blaise watches Draco and Greg laugh at him, yes definitely laughing at him.
"I'll ask Harry." Blaise rubs his chin, "He's recently single. What do you think Dray, will the Golden Boy go with me?"
"Why do you three looks so chagrined?" Hermione and Daphne join them on the way to breakfast.
"We're trying to find Blaise a date to the Yule Ball." Greg smiles, "We're going through possible targets... I mean lucky, um..."
