"Think of it this way, Harry." Ron was trying to cheer up his friend as they walked onto Platform 9 ¾, "Not only are you returning to Hogwarts a war hero but you're showing up single. You'll be beating the girls off you with sticks."
"That's what I'm afraid of." Harry whined.
"Ron, Harry doesn't want that kind of attention. Remember how bad it got in our 5th and 6th years, remember the love potions. Harry just wants to finish his education in peace and not have to run off swarms of hormonal teenage girls." Hermoine explains. As they walk to the Hogwarts Express, she continues giving Harry advice on how to avoid getting love potions slipped to him, how to let the girls down nicely without hurting anyone's feelings, how he needs to let them know if he needs help running interference, or if he fancies someone how he can come to them for advice. Ron and Harry listening to Hermoine never noticed that another person had joined their group. She was listening to all the advice a single Potter needed to survive his last year at Hogwarts.
"Really 'Moine, I don't think it's going to be an issue." Harry looks at his feet, "I've never been that good with girls anyway..."
"Potter, Granger... Weasley." Malfoy sneers walking up with Zabini, Nott and Goyle.
"Parkinson, what are you doing with the Golden Trio." Blaise asks. The three Gryffindors turn around and stare at Pansy.
"Blaise, darling, I couldn't find you and your attractive friends you've got there; and you know we're not supposed to walk anywhere alone." Pansy smiles, "Anyway, look at them. They look striking today. Why wouldn't I want to be seen with them?"
"Hi, Pansy, um, thanks?" Ron moves so she can get passed them to her friends but she stays still.
"Ron and Hermoine, you two are such a beautiful couple. Simply gorgeous together." Pansy slides up next to Harry and puts her arm around his waist, "And you Harry... single lovely Harry, you're looking rather fit, I must say. Ron is right you'll be chasing the girls away. Maybe I might try for a piece this year." She leans in and smells Harry on the neck. "Delicious." Pansy looks around before leaning in and licking up his jaw.
"What the hell, Pans! Get off him." Draco grabs her free arm and pulls her into their group.
Harry, Ron, and Hermoine just stare as the Slytherin's quickly start walking away.
"Why did you do that? You just made that really weird." Blaise looks at her like she's mental.
"Seriously, I thought we all agreed to try and make this year better. Less rivalries and now it's going to be uncomfortable." Nott adds.
"Well, you!" Pansy points at Draco, "You said you were going to try to be nicer this year."
"I greeted them, didn't I."
"I don't think saying their last names and sneering counts as a greeting." Goyle looks back at the trio who are clearly listening to them as Harry wipes his face with his sleeve.
"I stopped Pansy. That has to count for something." Draco sighs.
"I don't think that counts, I think this whole scene just made us all look really weird. Thanks Parkinson!" Nott complains.
"Theo, they're not going to say anything, it's Saint Potter and his friends, plus I had a very good reason..." Pansy tried to explain but was cut off.
"It was like watching a dog take a piss to mark his territory... you just pissed on Potter leg..." Draco growled as they entered the train. Harry, Ron and Hermoine couldn't hear the rest of the conversation.
"She completely mental, bloody hell Harry, do not date that one." Ron said watching the place the Slytherin were just standing.
"What was that!" An angry voice yelled at Harry.
