Draco and Theo were outside the Great Hall when the door opens, Blaise, Greg and Hermione, of all people, entered. Laughing and blushing as the approached their friends.
"We promised the lovely Miss Granger, we'd join her for dinner at that horrible Gryffindor table." Blaise motions for Hermione to enter the hall. "Care to join us, I feel outnumbered over there."
"What on Earth has conspired to link you three together for this evening?" Draco looks over the trio, "I do appreciate the upgrade in your cold weather clothing, Granger."
Hermione pulls off her hat and scarf smiling, "Your compliment has been noted, Malfoy."
"I'm not sitting with the Gryffindors." Theo sulks, "And fuck you Blaise for opening your mouth."
"How was I supposed to know you were keeping your little Gryffindor in the dark?" Blaise smirks, "If you don't want him finding out about your business from someone else, then you should have told him. I regret nothing."
"Back me up, Dray." Theo turns to him.
"Blaise is right, you should have told him."
"You didn't tell Potter about Luna."
"We weren't dating. You've been with Finnigan for what, four months?"
"Is this really the place to be having this conversation?" Hermione asks as she see students heading for dinner.
"I'm not eating with them." Theo storms into the hall, sitting at the Slytherin table.
Ron and Ernie walk up to the group. Ron slides his arm around Hermione's waist, "Where's Harry?" Hermione shrugs.
"He went to see McGonagall with Finnigan." Draco says without looking at Ron.
"Is everything ok?" Ernie asks.
"He didn't say, but if I was to hazard a guess, I would say everything is fine. He wasn't distraught when he left. A bit anxious maybe, but not any more than usual." Draco offers.
"Come on, I'm starving." Ron pulls Hermione with him. The Slytherins follow them to the Gryffindor table, "What's going on? Why are they sitting with us, 'Mione?"
"We were invited." Blaise smirks sitting next to Hermione. "Your lovely lady here asked Greg and I to join her. We felt sorry for Draco, naturally, so we invited him along as well. Why, Weasel, do you not want us here?"
"It's fine, I don't care."
"I don't need your pity." Draco stands.
"Oh, sit down Malfoy, he was kidding." Hermione smiles, "No one pities you, you're always welcome to join us."
"Speak for yourself." Ron mumbles making Draco smile.
Harry and Seamus walk in, both look decidedly uncomfortable about something. They stare at the guests at their table before joining them. Harry sits next to Draco with Seamus on the other side of him.
"You two look haunted." Blaise smirks.
"Yeah, we just got a telling off from McGonagall." Harry sighs.
"Apparently we don't think, the school is going to be chaos, and that it will be all our fault..." Seamus adds.
"And it's going to cost money they don't have, and new security measures will have to be put into place..." Harry continues.
"We should consider how our actions affect others, and our professors..." Seamus pours some pumpkin juice for him and Harry.
"And our friends, and our families, and this is exactly what she warned me about in the beginning of the year..." Harry takes a sip.
