"Come on Blaise." Draco heads over to the Slytherin and Ravenclaw table after dropping his bag off in his room. "Walk with me to the Owlery."
"I think not, Dray." Blaise smirks, "I have plans tonight."
"Fine... anyone?" Draco scans the table.
"Yeah, I'll go." Steve stretches, "I'm done with my work." He quickly piles everything into his bag. "I'll drop this off in my room, give me a minute."
Draco and Steve leave through the portrait.
"They've been spending a lot more time together." Goldstein comments.
"I guess this house unity thing is working." Boot pulls out his parchment with the bets on current and future couples. "Who wants to put money on them hooking up? We know Malfoy has leanings."
"Cornfoot doesn't though." Mike keeps writing, "You should hear what that man gets up to over the summer."
"Really?" Blaise leans in.
"The man's a player, that's for sure."
"I've never seen him with anyone." Pansy sits down taking Steve's empty seat.
"He breaks it off before school. He doesn't want distractions."
"He brought Su Li to the Yule Ball." Pansy taps her finger on the table.
"Yeah, as friends."
Theo pulls the parchment towards him to look it over. "Ha! Look at this Greg, they've got me as the most likely bloke to hook up with Potter and I get Megan Jones for the ladies... where's Potter, I need to go hit on him?"
Theo looks around, "Hey Finnigan, where's your roommate?"
"Get your head out of your ass Nott, he just walked past you. He's tutoring tonight." Seamus smiled. "Why?"
"Boot's list has me hooking up with Potter, I figure now that Blaise has crushed him, I can sweep in."
"Who am I hooking up with on that list?"
Theo looks down and laughs, "Looks like everyone has you and Dean Thomas together or Eloise Midgen."
"I don't have any money down on that list." Greg frowns. "Let me see that." Greg pulls the list from his hand. "What about the 7th years? That's not unheard of to date down a year. This poll is faulty."
"Yeah, shouldn't I have a better chance with Harry than Nott does?" Seamus asks from across the room, "He is my roommate, you never know what we get up to behind closed doors."
"We figured most people in the same house would have hooked up by now. Like Granger and Weasley or Goldstein and Brocklehurst. We have both of those couples breaking up after Christmas."
"Oi." Ron yells walking over, "Why do you have us breaking up?"
"Yeah." Anthony scowls, "Mandy and I just got together."
"You." Boot points at Ron, "We have you too breaking up because she's way smarter and you're way funnier, not compatible mate; and you," He points at Goldstein, "You're Jewish and she's not. I met your mum, there's no way you're staying with someone who's not Jewish."
"You're wrong." Ron picks up the parchment, "Malfoy and Parkinson, I thought that was old news? Same with him and Finch-Fletchley. Who else, Greg, they have you with Susie Bones. Can you imagine? I don't think Slytherins and Hufflepuffs are going to work. Same with Nott and Megan Jones. Wouldn't you pair up the Hufflepuffs with the Gryffindors and the Slytherins with the Ravenclaws? That's how our houses usually got on."
