The teams boarded the trucks, anticipation hanging in the air as the engines roared to life. As the convoy approached the surrounding mountains, you leaned over and whispered to Keegan, "Stay sharp, Keegan. And stay safe up there." He gave you a nod and you patted his shoulder. Price's voice then came over the comms, "Keegan, it should be clear. Make your way up the mountain and maintain overwatch. We'll signal when it's time for you to provide support." Keegan agreed, determination in his eyes, and exited the truck, disappearing into the shadows as he moved toward the vantage point. With Keegan gone, you took the opportunity to shift over, giving yourself some space as you were shoved with Ghost and Keegan in the back.

A few minutes later, Keegan's voice came over the comms, "I've got a visual on the base." Price swiftly responded, "Acknowledged. We're moving in. Group A, your team is to remain on standby until we secure the outside. Once we give the signal, move in." The anticipation in the air grew as your team waited for the green light to initiate the mission. Soap, sitting in the passenger seat, decided to strike up a conversation. "So, Serpent, where are you from?" he inquired, trying to break the tension with casual banter and ignore the shooting going on outside. "I grew up in Manchester," you replied casually. Technically, you weren't lying, just bending the truth a bit. "Bullshit." You heard the gruff voice next to you say. You couldn't help but raise an eyebrow at his blunt response. "Excuse me?"

"You weren't born in the UK, with that shitty American accent," Ghost remarked, his skepticism evident. "Alright, Ghost, that's enough," Soap intervened, shutting down the line of inquiry. In your head, you silently thanked Soap, grateful for the diversion. Ghost's irritation was palpable as he retorted, "Don't know why you're being all friendly all of a sudden, Soap. Making someone food means nothing." He said side eyeing you. Soap sighed, "Look, Ghost, I was angry at first too. But taking it out on someone who can't control the situation ain't right. We're a team now, gotta stick together." Ghost grunted, "I'd rather stick to myself."

"You guys do realize I'm right here, right?" You said and the driver of the truck chuckled a bit, but Ghost just scoffed in response. "Anyways, since we're sharing, where are you from, Soap?" you asked, attempting to shift the focus of the conversation. Soap grinned, a hint of pride in his expression. "Only the greatest country in the world—Scotland," he replied. Ghost chimed in with a sarcastic tone, "Oh, the land of kilts and bagpipes, how impressive." Soap shot him a playful glare before turning back to you. "Ignore him."

"Alright, we're clear for now on the outside. Move in," Price's voice crackled over the comms, signaling the transition from banter to the mission at hand. The truck started moving from around a mountain, and the team prepared to disembark. The air inside the truck shifted from casual conversation to focused anticipation. As the back doors swung open, you could feel the tension rise. Each one of you grabbed your gear, checking weapons and equipment one last time before stepping out into the cool night. Ghost led the way, his authoritative presence setting the tone for the operation. The base loomed in the distance, shrouded in darkness, with only the faint glow of scattered lights revealing its contours. Keegan's voice echoed over the comms, "we've got more moving in, you guys have to be quick."

"Got it." You responded. Ghost swiftly approached the entrance, his trained instincts taking over. With a powerful kick, he sent the door flying open, exposing the interior of the base. The sudden burst of activity triggered a chaotic symphony of gunfire as you faced immediate resistance. As if somehow they knew you would be there. The firefight erupted in flashes of muzzle flashes and the echo of gunfire, creating a disorienting ambiance within the confined space. Ghost's authoritative commands cut through the chaos, guiding the team through the strategic dance of combat. You, alongside Ghost, and Soap, moved with precision, seamlessly covering each other as you advanced deeper into the base. The element of surprise had been sacrificed, but the team's skills compensated for the setback.
