A Day Later..

Price sighs heavily, his expression weary and worn from the weight of the situation. "How could you tell him without telling me?" you demand, your voice rising with frustration. "Keep your damn voice down, Y/N," Price urges, his tone strained as he rubs his temples in a futile attempt to ease the tension. "He doesn't know the whole story. He just knows I raised you and the Americans can't know that," he adds, his voice lowered to a hushed tone. "That could put everyone at risk!" you exclaim, rising from your chair in agitation as you confront Price.
"I trust Ghost. He's proven his loyalty to me," Price asserts, though his words fail to assuage your concerns. "You don't even know if I do, though. That's my business," you retort sharply, your frustration boiling over at the perceived breach of trust. "In this situation, Ghost is the best person to know," Price insists, his tone firm as he emphasizes the necessity of Ghost's involvement in the unfolding events. Despite your protests, you know there's a grain of truth in Price's reasoning. Ghost's involvement may indeed be crucial, but it still irks you that the decision was made without your input.
"Fine," you relent, albeit begrudgingly. "But I need to know everything that's going on." Price nods solemnly, his expression grave. "I'll keep you informed," he promises, though you can't shake the feeling of unease that lingers in the back of your mind. With a heavy sigh, you sink back into your chair, feeling the weight of the impending storm settling over you. "Well what did you tell him?" Price offers a cheeky grin, his gaze lingering thoughtfully. "Actually it was you who said too much." You narrow your eyes at Price, a mixture of disbelief and frustration brewing within you. "Me? What did I say?" you demand, racking your brain for any slip-up.
"You were drunk and slipped up the fact you were raised on a base, and people who've been on the SAS long enough have heard the rumors." Realization dawns on you like a sudden bolt of lightning. "You mean..." you trail off, the pieces falling into place. "I mentioned being on base as a kid when I was drunk." Price nods, confirming your suspicions. "Exactly. Ghost isn't one to overlook details like that. He's always been sharp." You curse inwardly, cursing yourself for your carelessness. It's a sobering reminder of the delicate balance between secrecy and trust in your line of work. But now that the cat's out of the bag, there's no turning back.
You take a deep breath, trying to collect your thoughts amidst the whirlwind of emotions swirling within you. "So what now?" you ask, your voice tinged with uncertainty. Price leans back in his chair, his expression serious. "Now, we move forward cautiously. Ghost is a valuable asset, but we need to ensure he doesn't dig too deep into matters that could compromise our operations." You nod, understanding the gravity of the situation. "I'll be more careful," you promise, determination flickering in your eyes. Price gives you a nod of approval. "Good. Remember, discretion is key. We can't afford any more slip-ups." With that, you leave Price's office, the weight of his words heavy on your shoulders.
As you step out of Price's office, a sudden commotion breaks out nearby. Shouts and the clatter of equipment draw your attention, and you quickly make your way towards the source of the disturbance. Rounding a corner, you see a group of soldiers engaged in a heated argument, their voices rising with each passing moment. Amidst the commotion, you recognize Soap and Graves at the center of the confrontation. Soap's usually fun demeanor is replaced by simmering anger, while Graves appears characteristically agitated, his face flushed with frustration. It seems like a disagreement has escalated into a full-blown confrontation, and tensions are running high. Without hesitation, you step in between the feuding soldiers, raising your hands in a calming gesture. "Hey, hey, what's going on here?" you demand, trying to diffuse the situation.
