Simon awoke before you, watching the gentle rise and fall of your chest as you slept. He couldn't help but smile at the way your hair fell over your face, framing it in delicate tendrils. Slowly, he reached out and moved the strands away from your features, revealing your entire face to his admiring gaze. You were a vision of beauty, even in sleep. Simon's heart swelled with love for you, knowing that you were carrying their child. The thought of being a father both excited and frightened him. He had always believed that he would die honorably on the battlefield, never considering the possibility of a real future or family.

But now, everything was different. With you by his side, his life had newfound purpose and meaning. He would do anything to stay alive and be there for you and their child. Quietly slipping out of bed, Simon made his way to the bathroom. As he stood in front of the mirror, he couldn't help but think about his father and the toxic relationship they had. A familiar fear crept up inside him - what if he turned out like his father?

Shaking his head to clear his thoughts, Simon splashed cold water on his face from the sink. He wasn't his father, and he refused to let himself become like him. As he looked at his reflection in the mirror, he thought about his mother and brother. They would be thrilled to know that Simon had finally found a woman he loved - someone who was sweet, understanding, and perfect for him. Ever since meeting you, you had consumed Simon's thoughts day and night. Whether they were good or bad thoughts, you always managed to find a place in his mind and heart.

Simon's mind wandered to the future - a few months from now when your belly would be swollen with new life. A soft smile played on his lips as he imagined how cute you would look, glowing with the joy of motherhood. For the first time in his life, Simon felt like he belonged somewhere. Someone finally understood him, embraced his quirks and eccentricities. In the past, he had been judged and feared for his thoughts and words, but with you by his side, everything changed.

He had grown accustomed to people cowering in fear at the mere mention of his name. It was a defense mechanism, a way to keep people at arm's length. But then he met you, and suddenly he didn't want to be seen as the bad guy anymore. Something shifted inside him, like a switch had been flipped. He couldn't explain it, but one thing was certain - it all revolved around you. As if sensing his thoughts, your arms wrapped around his waist and you rested your head on his arm. He couldn't resist smiling as he looked at you through the mirror. Your cheeks were flushed pink, a sign of your love and adoration for him.

"Good morning my love," you whispered sweetly. Simon turned to face you, gently lifting you up and placing you on the counter. "Good morning, beautiful," he replied with a grin. "How did you sleep?" You tilted your head to the side, studying his face with adoration. "The best I've slept in a while," he admitted truthfully. Being with you brought him a sense of peace and contentment that he had never experienced before. And for that, he was grateful every day that he woke up next to you.

As his lips met yours in a tender kiss, you couldn't help but reciprocate. Your fingers danced across his chest before sliding up to cup his cheeks, gazing into his mesmerizing eyes. "How about breakfast?" you asked with a smile, breaking the kiss. A soft smile spread across Simon's face as he nodded in agreement. "Only if I can help," he replied, his hands resting gently on your waist. You couldn't believe what you were hearing. "You want to help me cook?" you asked incredulously. "I'm gonna have to learn so I can cook when your belly gets big," Simon said with a loving look towards your midsection. A surge of warmth filled your heart and you couldn't resist wrapping your arms around him. "I love you, Simon," you whispered, your gaze meeting his as he held you close. His features softened as he returned the sentiment, "I love you too, Y/n."
