The wooden door creaked open, revealing a woman who bore an uncanny resemblance to Simon. Her warm, brown eyes, nose, and kind smile mirrored his own features. Despite being taller than you, her presence was just as comforting. You couldn't help but feel even more connected to Simon in that moment. As she took in his appearance, her eyes sparkled with warmth, and she pulled Simon into a tight hug. The gesture instantly put you at ease, and a sense of relief washed over you. "Simon!" She exclaimed with worry evident in her voice. "Oh my baby, I was so worried about you." Simon's mother embraced him tightly before turning to you with the same warmth in her eyes. "I'm okay mom, I'm here now."

"And who is this?" She asked softly. "I'm Y/n," you said quietly, introducing yourself. A look passed between Simon and his mother before he spoke up. "She's my girlfriend." Her face lit up with excitement at the news. "Girlfriend! Tommy, get in here now!" She called out to someone inside the house. Soon enough, another man appeared, giving Simon a big hug. "Simon, it's been too long," Tommy said with a smile. "Hey Tommy," Simon greeted him warmly. "Come in please!" She invited all of you inside with excitement evident in her voice. "I'm Joy, and this is Tommy," she said, introducing herself and Simon's brother. "It's nice to meet you both, I'm Y/n," you replied with a warm smile. Joy beamed as she turned to lead you all to their living room. As you and Simon took a seat on the couch, Tommy joined you as well. "Tea, dear?" Joy offered hospitably. "Yes, please," you accepted gratefully. "Simon?" Joy turned to ask him as well. "Yes, I'd like some too," he replied politely while taking your hand in his own. "And may I just say, you are absolutely beautiful," Joy complimented you before heading to the kitchen.

Tommy leaned in towards Simon, curiosity and interest shining in his eyes. "So tell me, how's life been?" he asked. Simon grinned widely, a sense of contentment radiating from him as he replied, "Pretty darn good, actually. We were stationed in Mexico for a while and managed to take down a terrorist. And I also happened to meet the most beautiful girl." He gestured towards you with pride, his hand resting comfortably on your shoulder. You smiled warmly, happy to let Simon do the talking as he shared your story with his brother. Tommy raised an impressed eyebrow. "Wow, that does sound eventful. And you both served together?" You nodded proudly. "Yep, same team." Tommy chuckled. "Sounds like something straight out of a romance novel."

;)

You couldn't help but laugh at his comment. "I guess you could say that." Just then, a woman and a young boy appeared at the top of the stairs. "This is my wife Leah and my son Jason," Tommy introduced them with a smile. Leah rushed down the stairs and gave Simon a tight hug. "Oh my gosh, Simon! It's been so long!" Jason followed suit, eagerly greeting his favorite uncle with open arms. "Uncle Simon!" The little boy yelled. Simon scooped him up effortlessly, twirling him around in the air as they both laughed. You couldn't hide your own smile as you watched the two interact. Maybe Simon was more comfortable and natural with kids than you had initially thought.

"And who might you be?" Leah asked curiously. "I'm Y/n, Simons's girlfriend," you spoke up proudly, realizing it was your first time introducing yourself as Simon's girlfriend, and you loved it. Leah's eyes widened in surprise. "Wow, I would have never expected it." She teased Simon playfully. "Hope he's not too much of a pain in the ass," she added, taking a seat next to Tommy. You couldn't resist joining in on the teasing. "Sometimes," you admitted with a smirk, earning a mock gasp from Simon as he held Jason upside down by his feet.

Joy reentered the room with a tray of steaming teas, her warm smile radiating motherly love. "Here you go, dear." She handed you a cup, and you took a grateful sip, savoring the delicious blend. "It's wonderful, thank you," you said sincerely before placing it on the table. Joy settled comfortably into a reclining chair, her eyes shining with curiosity. "Now we have to know all about it," she declared eagerly. "But none of that talk about killing and violence, please." You chuckled and shared a knowing glance with Simon before launching into their story. "Well, we met when I first joined the team a few months ago. We were stationed in Mexico." You couldn't help but smile as memories flooded your mind.
