As the sun dipped below the horizon, Alex nervously fiddled with his tie getting ready for his date. "You sure you'll be okay alone?" he asked, glancing at you with concern. You chuckled softly. "Alex, it's my house. I'll be fine," you reassured him with a smile. Helping him straighten his tie, you admired how clean he looked in his crisp suit. "How do I look?" Alex asked, a hint of nervous excitement in his voice. "Very American," you teased, eliciting a playful grin from him. "Good, that's what I was going for," he said, grabbing his keys and giving you a quick hug before heading out the door. "Have fun," you called after him as he walked down the lot to his car. "Oh, I will," he replied mischievously before driving off into the night.

After saying goodbye to Alex, you decided to take a shower and get ready for bed. Undressing in front of the bathroom mirror, you couldn't help but notice how your body had changed since you stopped training regularly. Your muscles weren't as defined and your stomach had a slight pooch. You rubbed your hand over it, feeling both pride and anxiety bubble up inside of you. A little human was growing inside of you - Simon's child. Thoughts of Simon flooded your mind - how would he react to this news? Would he want to be involved or would he turn away? You shook your head, pushing those questions aside. The most important thing now was taking care of yourself and your baby. Everything else would fall into place eventually.

The Night Before..

The night before, Simon and the rest of the team were dragged to yet another bar by their wild comrade, Soap. As usual, Soap was already several drinks deep, while Simon was starting to feel a subtle buzz from the alcohol. Price and Keegan had taken a spot at the bustling bar, leaving Simon and Soap squeezed into a cramped booth. "I think it's my accent that gets the ladies," Soap boasted confidently, swaying slightly in his seat. "It's something," Simon chuckled, taking a sip of his drink. "I want to settle down like you though," Soap mused wistfully. "I don't know if I'm exactly 'settled down' right now," Simon responded with a sigh. "Oh, but you'll have to be soon enough," Soap teased with a knowing wink. "What do you mean?" Simon asked, curiosity piqued. But before Soap could answer, he quickly covered his mouth with his hand and let out an exaggerated "Oops!"

"Johnny, if you know something, tell me right now," Simon demanded, growing increasingly agitated by Soap's teasing. "I can't, I promised," Soap said in a sing-song voice, clearly enjoying the power he held over his friend. "Promised who what?" Simon pressed on. "I promised Y/n I wouldn't tell anyone she was pregnant," Soap blurted out without thinking, his words slurring together. "She's what?!" Simon exclaimed in shock and disbelief. "Uh oh," Soap said with a mischievous grin as he realized the gravity of what he had just revealed.

The familiar scene brought a sense of comfort and belonging, as if this was your rightful place in the world. The warm glow of the television illuminated the room, casting shadows on the walls and creating a cozy atmosphere. Everything around you seemed to whisper "relax" as you let go of all your worries and simply embraced the moment.
