The grim, determined expression on Shepherd's face flickered onto the laptop screen, causing the team to tense up and furrow their brows. "Price, I've been expecting your call," Shepherd's deep voice rang out from the speakers. Price scoffed in response. "You hid this...Why?" he demanded. "We all keep secrets, Captain," Shepherd replied calmly. "Why the hell wasn't I informed?" Price pressed. "Consider yourself well-informed now, John," Shepherd answered coolly. "Oh, that's really fuckin' helpful, General. Thank you," Price retorted sarcastically. "But you're a day late and a missile short. There are three of them and we only found two." Price gritted his teeth in frustration.

"Then point yourself in that direction and fix it," Shepherd commanded. "And who fixes you, eh?" Price shot back with contempt. "I don't need fixing. I'm a patriot protecting my country," Shepherd stated confidently. Price stood up from his chair, eyes blazing with anger. "You're protecting your own ass," he accused bitterly. "I do what needs to be done and no one holds me down with a roll of red tape," Shepherd declared firmly, his unwavering gaze meeting Price's angry glare.

Shepherd's voice was filled with conviction as he spoke. "I know what's best for the cause," he said confidently. Price scoffed, a bitter edge to his tone. "Haha, you've lost your mind, General." But Shepherd remained steadfast in his beliefs. "And you've forgotten what you're fighting for, John," he retorted. "To do some good you gotta do some bad," Shepherd continued. "When we shit, we bury it. That's how it works."

"Yeah...but we don't bury each other with it, do we?" Price shot back. "You need to turn off that side of your head and face the real enemy," Shepherd urged. Ghost interjected with a somber tone. "Where are Viper and Keegan?" "Who knows where Graves has them," Shepherd responded callously. "You need to call off your Shadow," Price pressed. "Graves is like a dog with a bone," Shepherd warned. "And I highly recommend you don't try to take it." You gritted your teeth at the tension between the two men. This was a dangerous game they were playing.

"This is your last chance to change your mind," Price said firmly. "Then what?" Shepherd challenged. "Then after I go after him...I'm coming for you," Price declared before closing his laptop shut with finality. Price gave a sharp nod to Alejandro, and with a simple yet powerful word, "Vamos," the team followed. You walked alongside Ghost, your hands brushing against each other's as you walked. Suddenly, he reached for your hand, intertwining his fingers with yours.

As Alejandro opened two large double doors, you were greeted by a bustling scene - Vaqueros moving about, various vehicles scattered around the area. Alejandro whistled for their attention before addressing them. "Hey, Vaqueros, pay attention!" His voice boomed across the space. Guided towards a table surrounded by the group, Price wasted no time in getting straight to the point. "Alright, listen up," he said firmly. "We are taking back our HQ." A collective murmur of determination rose from the team. "We are getting our prisoner and our friends," Price continued. "And we are killing Commander Graves." His words hung heavily in the air as everyone present fully comprehended the magnitude of their mission.

Rodolfo spoke up, breaking the silence that had settled over the group. "When?" Without hesitation, Ghost responded with one word that sent chills down everyone's spine: "Now." You squeezed Ghost's hand tighter in response, silently showing him your support and trust as he led this team into battle against their own comrades. Price's commanding voice cut through the tension again. "This is not just 141 and Los Vaqueros," he stated firmly. "We are a united force." Ghost grabbed a black duffle bag from under the table and emptied its contents onto the surface - skull balaclavas for all members of the team. "A Ghost team," Price declared. And then, without warning, Ghost removed his mask, revealing his true face for the first time to your comrades. You couldn't help but feel a rush of emotion at the sight - this was your Simon, and he had trusted you with this sight before anyone else.

Price's voice broke through your thoughts as he addressed Ghost directly. "Good to see you again, Simon," he said with a nod of acknowledgement. Ghost simply responded with a nod of his own. You placed a comforting hand on Ghost's shoulder, giving it a gentle squeeze as he smiled down at you and pressed a kiss to the top of your head. "If you're in, take a mask; if you're not, don't," Ghost instructed the team, holding out the masks for them to take. One by one, they all grabbed one, pulling it over their faces. You followed suit, feeling a mixture of excitement and nervousness as you prepared for the battle ahead.

Alejandro stood tall and straight, his brows furrowed in concentration as he pulled out a map of his base and placed it carefully on the table. "My troops know the Fuerzas Especiales facility better than the Shadows, so we'll have an advantage," he stated confidently. You looked at the map, taking in the intricate details and markings that denoted different areas of the base. "Team 1 will consist of Captain Price, Gaz, myself, and one pilot," Alejandro declared, pointing to each person's designated spot on the map with a steady finger. "And Team 2 will be composed of Ghost, Soap, Rudy, Y/N, and Los Vaqueros," he added, giving you a nod of acknowledgement.

Price turned to address you directly. "Are you sure you're up for this?" he asked with concern etched on his face. You met his gaze with determination in your eyes. "I'll be alright," you reassured him. "Team 1 will use the secret tunnels to reach the tarmac and commandeer a helicopter," Alejandro explained, tracing the hidden passageways on the map with his finger. "My pilot will take Captain Price up while Team 2 stands by outside." He paused for a moment before continuing. "Once Price fires on the entry gate and lets us in, Team 2 will fight their way to Graves. We suspect he will be holed up in my HQ, defended by his best shooters." Alejandro's jaw clenched at the thought.

"While Gaz and I locate and secure Valeria, Ghost and Y/N will free Keegan and Viper," he instructed firmly. "Then Team 2 will find Graves and eliminate him." Alejandro's words hung heavy in the air as everyone processed their tasks for the upcoming mission. The stakes were high and the plan was risky, but there was no other choice. This was the only chance to take down Graves and his ruthless organization, and everyone was ready to do their part in the fight for justice and revenge.

The command was given with a sense of urgency as Price announced, "Get ready, we leave in 30." The group responded in unison, "Yes sir," before scrambling to their assigned tasks. You and Ghost quickly made your way to your shared room, knowing that every second counted. Together, you packed your bags and refilled your ammunition, making sure everything was in order for the mission ahead.

Ghost reached for his eye black and headed to the bathroom, you trailed behind him. As soon as the door clicked shut behind you both, he turned to you with a mischievous glint in his eyes. "What are you being all sneaky for?" he asked playfully. You couldn't help but giggle at his assumption. "I'm not being sneaky, just following is all," you replied innocently. Before you could utter another word, Ghost's strong arms wrapped around you, pulling you into his lean, muscular frame. Your lips met in a passionate embrace, their movements mirroring the fiery intensity between you. His skilled tongue caressed yours as his grip on your waist tightened, grounding you in the moment and igniting a sense of desire within you

Eventually, he pulled away with a satisfied smile on his face. "Now I have to focus," he said, lifting his eye black over his eyes. Feeling playful, you offered to apply it for him instead. Ghost looked down at the eye black before handing it to you with a small smirk. "Face me," you instructed and he obliged by turning around to face you. As you took the applicator and dipped it into the black paste, Ghost's eyes trailed over your features - how beautiful and natural you looked even without any makeup. He felt his heart swell with love for you.

With gentle strokes, you applied the eye black around his eyes while humming a soft tune. The bathroom was filled with a peaceful silence save for your voice and Ghost's quiet breathing. In this brief moment, everything seemed perfect between the two of you.
