You couldn't bring yourself to look at Simon, the betrayal cutting deep into your heart. Soap and Gaz exchanged glances, their expressions somber with guilt. Ghost remained silent, his features unreadable as he absorbed the weight of the situation. Finally, after what felt like an eternity of heavy silence, you spoke up. "I don't know if I can forgive you for this, Simon," you said, your voice barely audible above the heaviness in the room. The air grew thicker with tension, each person holding their breath as they awaited your next words.

Simon's shoulders slumped, a look of resignation on his face as he accepted your words. "I understand," he whispered, his voice laced with regret. "I never meant to hurt you, Y/n. I hope one day you can find it in your heart to forgive me." Price nodded in agreement, his eyes reflecting a mix of remorse and determination. "We may not be able to change the past, but we can learn from it," he offered, his voice gentle yet firm. "Moving forward, honesty and transparency will be our guiding principles." Soap and Keegan nodded in agreement to Price's words.

Tension knotted in your stomach as you struggled to keep your emotions in check. "I don't know if I can stay here right now," you admitted, feeling the pressure of the situation weighing down on you. Price, ever the protective father, spoke up. "Y/n, I've arranged for you and Alex to take a leave of absence before the rest of us. You'll have at least a month to gather yourself," he assured you. His words were comforting, but they couldn't erase the pain and confusion swirling inside you. Despite everything, you still loved Price deeply. He had always been there for you, and you knew he would continue to do whatever he could to help you through this tough time. But when it came to Simon, it was a different story. The mere thought of him made your heart ache with betrayal and anger.

"I'd appreciate that, thank you," you replied, forcing a small smile onto your face. As Soap and the others quietly made their way up the stairs, leaving just the four of you in the room, an awkward silence settled over everyone. You couldn't bring yourself to look at Simon or even acknowledge his presence. It was just too painful right now. So instead, you focused on Price and Alex, grateful for their support and understanding in this moment of turmoil.

"Y/n, I-" Simon's voice trembled as he reached out to touch your arm, but you took a step back, finally locking eyes with him. The sharpness in your tone cut through him like a knife. "Don't touch me, Ghost," you said icily. The use of his callsign instead of his name only added to the weight of his mistake, and he felt his heart break at the realization. He had truly messed up this time. Simon recoiled at your words, the pain evident in his eyes as he realized the extent of your hurt. He clenched his jaw, struggling to find the right words to convey his regret and remorse. The room felt suffocating with the weight of unspoken emotions, each person grappling with their own guilt and sorrow.

Price stepped forward, placing a hand on Simon's shoulder in a gesture of reassurance before turning his attention to you. "Y/n, I understand your anger and disappointment," he began, his voice gentle yet firm. "But Simon made a mistake out of misguided protection. He cares about you deeply, even if his actions were flawed." You met Price's gaze, seeing the sincerity in his eyes, but the wounds were still raw, the betrayal too fresh for forgiveness to come easily. "I need time," you said quietly, your voice barely above a whisper. "I need space to process everything."
