"Ale your pilot any good?" Price asked as the team prepared for the next stage of their mission. "He's my best," Alejandro replied confidently. "Good luck, Captain." Ale said with a smile. "All Ghosts, I'm wheels up and keeping eyes on," Price radioed to the rest of the team. "Copy that. Two inbound to the gate. You're cleared hot when target is marked." Ghost responded from his position next to you in the van. The anticipation in the air was thick as everyone prepared for the upcoming breach into enemy territory. "We think Graves is inside the HQ, holding his ground. Once we're inside, we split up. Close air support will clear our path," Ghost strategized with the team. Rudy chimed in, "With Shadows on the run, our priority is locating Graves and eliminating him after finding Keegan and Viper. Comprendes?"
"Yes sir," you replied, ready for action along with the rest of the team. "Stand by for breach," Ghost commanded over the sound of engines revving and weapons being checked. You took a deep breath, adjusting yourself in your seat to ease the discomfort of your wounded side. "Soap, make sure you have the designator ready to mark targets for Price in the helicopter," Ghost directed Soap, who immediately got to work preparing for their imminent entrance into hostile territory. You admired how cool and collected Ghost remained under pressure, always taking charge and knowing exactly what needed to be done. "Roger that," Soap confirmed, oozing confidence and professionalism just like his leader.
"Multiple Shadows on guard." You relayed, your voice tense and focused. Soap shifted the spotter in his hands, his eyes trained on the gate ahead. "That's our target," Rodolfo said, his voice low and commanding. He gestured for the team to move into position. "Let's get pre-assault fires on it," Ghost chimed in, his voice cool and collected. "Target marked. Fire when ready," Soap confirmed, his finger hovering over the trigger. From above, Price's voice crackled through the comms. "Copy, engaging your mark." The helo swooped in and unleashed a barrage of rockets, decimating a group of Shadows but leaving more still standing. Your team aimed out of the windows, weapons at the ready as you began picking off the remaining enemies with calculated precision. "Good guns, Bravo-6," Ghost praised, relief evident in his tone.
The van continued driving towards the base as you and your team fought your way inside. Price's orders echoed through the comms once again. "Copy, Ghost and Y/n, get to the HQ and find Keegan and Viper. The rest of you locate Graves. Alejandro, use the chaos for cover and get to Valeria." The van came to a sudden stop and you all quickly exited, following Rodolfo's lead as he shouted commands.
"On me- Go, go!" he barked, sprinting towards the main building with the rest of you close behind. "Come on, we don't have much time." Ghost said. As you ran through corridors and up stairs, Ghost's calm voice guided you towards your objective. "Keegan and Viper might be being held in the cells on the second story of the main building," Alejandro's voice rang out through the comms. "Copy that," you responded, adrenaline pumping through your veins as you prepared for what was to come.
You and Ghost moved swiftly up the stairs, your footsteps echoing in the dimly lit corridor. As you reached a corner, two shadowy figures turned towards you, but you and Ghost were quicker. With precise movements, you eliminated them before they even had a chance to react. "Take this left," you whispered to Ghost, your voice tense with urgency. Your partner nodded in understanding and followed your lead down the hallway, passing by several closed doors until you reached one marked "cells". Without hesitation, you swung the door open to reveal a guard sitting at a desk. Before he could even reach for his weapon, you took him down with swift and efficient movements.
"Serpent! You're here!" Keegan exclaimed in relief as he saw you and Ghost enter the cell area. With the keys taken from the guard's body, Ghost quickly unlocked the cells and freed Viper and the others. "Thanks for coming for us," Viper said gratefully as he accepted a weapon from you. "No problem," you responded, scanning the area for any signs of danger. "Where's Graves?" Ghost asked urgently.
"The HQ, it's this way," Viper responded, leading the group up more stairs and down another hallway. But their escape was not so easy - shouts rang out and more Shadow guards appeared, starting a fierce gun fight that put all of your skills to the test. The gunfight was a furious symphony of chaos. The stench of gunpowder and blood filled the air, mixing with the acrid smell of smoke from Price's bombs. Explosions rocked the base, their deafening blasts echoing through the halls. You pushed your way towards the commotion, Rudy and Soap kicking at the door, as Ghost barked orders through the door. Suddenly, Ghost thrust his weapon into your hands before launching himself at the door, his powerful kick shattering it into splinters.
He quickly retrieved his gun while you scanned the room for threats. A fierce firefight erupted as soldiers poured out from all corners, but the team picked them off one by one with expert precision. Guns roared, bullets flying and ricocheting off the metal and concrete. The sound of screaming and cursing Shadows filled the air as Ghost and your team fought with an unnatural calm, as if you were in some kind of rhythm.
When the last enemy fell, you entered the room to find Graves facing the wall, his posture defeated. "It's over now," you declared triumphantly. But Graves refused to back down, a sinister smile twisting his lips as he turned to face you. "It's far from over," he taunted, his voice dripping with malice. "All your secrets will be public soon." Ghost wasted no time shutting him up with a sharp retort. As Graves was about to respond, an explosion had taken out not only Graves but a portion of the building as well. "Fuckin hell' Price! We're you trying to take us down with it?" Ghost yelled over the comms. "Was a damn RPG." Price said. "Philip Graves, KIA," Ghost reported grimly over the comms, marking an end to this harrowing step.
