The intimacy you had shared had brought you closer than ever before, and you knew that things were never going to be the same. But it was a change that you embraced with open arms, eager to see where this new path would lead you. Both of you dived back into the paperwork, neither of you forgetting the intimacy and passion that had just taken place between you. As the sun began to set, casting a warm glow across the office, both of you stood up and stretched. "We've made good progress today," he said, eyes still on you.

But, you know this was his way of saying he had to get ready for the mission. You knew he was already running through the plans in his mind, preparing for whatever challenges lay ahead. "Let me help you pack," you offered. Ghost smiled at you gratefully, appreciating your offer. The two of you made your way out of the office and up the stairs to Ghost's quarters. As you entered his room, you noticed the familiar sight of his gear neatly laid out on the bed.  He handed you his duffel bag, and you carefully packed it with his gear, your fingers brushing against his as you worked. Ghost watched you silently, his heart swelling with gratitude for having you by his side. He couldn't help but admire the way you moved with such grace and efficiency, a stark contrast to the chaos and danger of their missions.

"Thank you," he said softly, breaking the comfortable silence that had settled between you. You looked up at him and smiled, your eyes filled with warmth and affection. "Anytime," you replied, your voice filled with sincerity. Together, you finished packing his gear, ensuring everything was in its proper place. As you zipped up the duffel bag, Ghost pulled you close, wrapping his arms around you. You could feel the tension from his day melting away as his embrace became a sanctuary of warmth and comfort. He kissed your forehead gently, his eyes holding a depth of gratitude that seemed to go beyond words.

"I don't want you to go." Ghost nodded, his expression thoughtful as he took in the sentiment. "I know, it kills me to leave you here." With that, he released you and stepped back, his eyes never leaving your face. You watched as he moved around his room, making sure everything was in order. You couldn't help but feel a pang of sadness knowing that he would be leaving soon, but you also trusted in his skills and capabilities.

Once everything was in order, Ghost turned to face you, his gaze unwavering. "I'll be back before you know it," he promised, his voice firm and resolute. You nodded, your faith in him unwavering. With a final embrace, Ghost pressed a tender kiss to your lips, conveying all the love and reassurance he could in that fleeting moment. You savored the warmth of his touch, knowing that it would sustain you in the days to come. As Ghost prepared to leave, you accompanied him downstairs to bid farewell to the rest of the team. They were gathered, gearing up for the mission ahead, their expressions a mix of determination and anticipation.

As Ghost and the team prepared their weapons, you stood among them, offering your support and well wishes for their mission ahead. Each member of the team exchanged brief but heartfelt farewells with you, their words a testament to the camaraderie and mutual respect shared among the group. Soap clasped your shoulder firmly, his gaze reflecting the unspoken understanding between seasoned warriors. "Keep the fort steady while we're out there," he said, his tone carrying the weight of years of experience. Keegan, his demeanor more lighthearted but no less sincere, flashed you a grin. "Don't have too much fun without us," he teased, a playful twinkle in his eye before he joined the others, ready for the mission ahead.
