The sound of Ghost's voice shook you from your sleep, and you slowly opened your eyes to see the curtains were already drawn open. The room was bathed in soft light from the city skyline outside - a mixture of dark night sky and glowing skyscrapers that seemed to stretch on forever. You sat up, feeling the cool air of the room against your bare skin, only covered by a thin blanket. "I haven't been back in America since..." your voice trailed off as memories flooded your mind. Ghost came up behind you, his familiar presence and warm embrace instantly making you feel at ease. "How do you feel?" he asked, concern evident in his voice.

"It's different," you said, your thoughts still scattered. Ghost kissed the top of your head before pulling away. "Get ready, we have 15," he said, walking towards his own gear but not without giving your ass a playful slap on the way. Closing the curtains to dim the outside light, you retrieved your tactical gear and began suiting up for the mission ahead. Clipping on your vest and tightening it around your body, you pulled on a black jacket before slipping into your boots. Your mask came last, covering your face with anonymity as per usual for these types of missions. Ghost did the same, moving with practiced efficiency to make sure everything was in order before grabbing his bags and signaling for you to do the same.

As you made your way out of the room, you were greeted by Keegan, Viper, and Price - all fully geared up and ready to go. Their weapons gleamed in the dim light, a sharp contrast to the grim expressions on their faces. "Took long enough," Soap joked as he nudged you out of the way. You rolled your eyes playfully before joining Price at the front of the group. He stood tall and confident, his steely gaze scanning their surroundings. "Soap and Gaz are already at the river. Let's move," he said in a commanding tone as he led the way up and out of the building.

"Watcher-1 to Bravo-6 Actual. Perimeter is secure. We have a possible hit on the missile container. Moving in now," Laswell's voice crackled through the comms. The tension in the group rose as they prepared for what was to come. Price wasted no time, barking out orders as they made their way to the target building. "Move," he commanded, throwing open the door to the stairwell and leading everyone up. "Solid copy. All Bravo move to set. We're on," Price's voice rang out over the comms. "0-5 copies all," Gaz responded.

With only twenty seconds until reaching their destination, Soap's voice came through loud and clear over the comms. "Twenty seconds from the target building. Intel reports multiple AQ inside." As you walked alongside Viper towards the helos, he couldn't help but strike up a conversation with you. "Y/n huh?" he asked curiously. "Yeah," you replied, keeping your focus forward. "Why the sudden change?" Viper prodded. You shrugged nonchalantly before admitting, "wanted to feel like myself. Get away from all the anonymity."

"Well I don't blame you. You have the same name as someone I used to know actually," Viper shared with a hint of nostalgia in his voice. "Really? The same as me?" you asked, intrigued by this connection. Viper nodded and continued, "yup." Ghost watched your interaction from behind, his heart beating faster than usual.  Before you could say anything, Price's next orders were given and you and Ghost were split up, each getting on separate helicopters. As the group boarded their designated helos and lifted off the ground, Gaz and Soap led the way on a small speedboat below.

"Ghost, Viper, get to your overwatch," Price commanded once again. "Roger that. On the move," Ghost responded dutifully. You watched as their helo slowly got out of your line of vision. "They'll be alright," Price reassured you, patting your shoulder. But deep down, you couldn't shake off the uneasy feeling in your gut. This mission was far from over.
