*Seungmin's POV*

Lighting the candles and placing them on the table of our home. Placing the china plates opposite each other and carefully aligning them. Everything has to go perfectly because she deserves the best.

Y/n. My girlfriend was perfect in my eyes. Her smile was so infectious that it made everyone happy. Her laugh lit up my world after a very stressful day at work. Her eyes were the most beautiful ones I have ever seen.

I loved so many more things about her that I could write a whole book about. I love her so much that I can't wait to ask her to marry me if she says yes.

We have been together for three years, and it was time I popped the question. Take a deep breath to prepare everything mentally. The front door opened and closed.

"I am home, baby!" Smiling widely, taking off my apron straight out of my outfit. I was wearing a simple white shirt and black trousers.

"Hi, love. How was your day?" As she entered the kitchen. Her eyes widen at the table before looking at me. Her perfect pink lips formed an O shape, dropping her bag in the process, throwing her hands over her mouth, walking over to her before pulling her into my chest, swaying us from side to side.

"It was good, thanks, babe. What is all this for? It isn't our anniversary for another couple of months." She wrapped her arms around my waist, looking up at me, catching me staring at her, and planting a kiss on her nose, making her giggle.

"Just a romantic dinner for us. Go get change, love." A smile formed on her before standing on her tippy toes, planting a small, quick kiss on my lips before hurrying to our bedroom.

Waiting for the moment the bedroom door closed, I quickly rushed to the cabinet drawer, where I kept the surprise for her. I went into the kitchen, took the dinner out of the oven, and settled it on the table before serving it.

I was popping the crock of the champagne before pouring. Setting down on the table, I took a quick photo to put it in our memory box that we started doing on our first anniversary. I opened WhatsApp and into the group chat, but she wasn't in.

I looked at the chat to see many messages, smiling widely and quickly reading everyone.

Rolling my eyes, chuckling, and replying to all the messages. "How do I look, Min?" I looked up, shoving my phone back into my pocket. She was wearing a cute but straightforward lavender dress, my favorite one. I might add that It hugged her figure perfectly, eyeing it up and down, wetting my lips a little before smiling at her.

"Breathe taking." A shade of pink brushed on her cheeks, looking down at her feet, getting all flustered. She was put back into a quick half-up, half-down ponytail. Zero make-up, which I love because natural beauty is the best.

I pulled the chair out from under the seat, bowing slightly and giggling before taking a seat, tugging her back under, rushing around the other side, and smiling directly opposite her.

As the meal went on, we chatted about our day. I smiled widely, watching her excuse herself and go to the bathroom after dinner.

Clearing the table, putting it all by the sink before rushing to the cabinet, taking out a small red velvet box, and opening it up. Revealing a beautiful diamond engagement ring, smiling widely, knowing Y/n hated anything expensive, but she deserved the best after everything.

I shoved the box back into my pocket and sprinkled rose petals into the living room. I was standing in the middle of the room, grabbing the remote, ready to press play, when I heard the bathroom door open and close.

She stopped dead in her tracks, looking at me, raising an eyebrow, "Seungmin...what is going on?" she walked closer. I placed my finger to my lips and pressed play before singing to her, holding my hand.

Her eyes became watery, holding onto my hand. Once I finished singing, planting a kiss on her hand before kneeling on one knee and pulling out the red velvet box. A gasp left her lips, covering her mouth.

"Y/n, my love. I love you more than anything, even life itself. I can't imagine my life without you. The first time I met you at the convenience store, as we both went to grab the last pint of milk, I knew you were the one. It took some time to realize all this, but I want to spend the rest of my life with you. I want to grow old with you, have babies with you, and die holding you. Y/n l/n, will you marry me and become Mrs Kim Seungmin?"

"YES!"

I sobbed happily, slipping the ring onto her finger before pulling her close, smashing our lips together, and holding her close. We stayed like this for a while before I pulled away from the kiss, resting my forehead against hers. I picked up the remote to play more music, and my hands went on her hips, ready to dance to the music.

I cannot breathe without you being right by my side.

My eyes widen, pulling away and stopping the music as quickly as possible. I chuckle nervously, rubbing the back of my neck and turning back around towards her. She was blushing harder than anything, grabbing her waist, pulling her back into my embrace, and kissing her once again.
