Henry POV

My mind kept wandering about Mia. And him. Shawn.  I can't seem to focus on my work. I trust her but I don't trust him.

I picked you my phone to call her then again she will only think I don't trust her.

* Sight * I put my phone back on the desk. I tapped at the desk while I read the files Nik gave me. Background checks on Shawn.

So he's literally a manwhore. With a recorded assault like this and he kept getting jobs at high fashion industries. And this woman “ Margaret Hale"  , judging by the pornographic photos of her and Shawn earlier in the files, they probably be the reason of her last divorce. I've seen her at some charity events but never acquaintance with her. She was married to Richard Hale. A Telecom CEO. He was married when he met her and have one son. Maddox Hale. Twelve years old now. Richard Hale left his wife and son for Margaret but their marriage lasted four years for the obvious reason in the photographs. Margaret landed a pretty steep settlement from the divorce.

“ So, that's how she kept funding him. "

They might have some kind of arrangement. Sexual ones. I thought to myself.

I kept reading the report given by Nik , the more I read the more I became revolted at Shawn and the more worry about Mia.

I closed the folder, closing my eyes and let out a big long sighed.

I walk to my bar , pour myself a whiskey. I chugged it down in one go and followed another.

Phone ringing....

I picked up the phone without looking who was calling.

“ Hello!"

Nik on the other side of the phone.

“ Sir, there's been an incident. "

Clark is giving statements to the police of the incident with Nik standing next to him giving his statement.

One copper in cockney accent “ We will be needing Mr. Windsor to come to the station on the morning. For his actions of course. " 

“ Of course officer. Will he be needing a lawyer?" Asked Nik. Clark shot a look a Nik.

“ That would be wise in case if Mr. Reynolds want to press charges. " The copper replied.

Nik nodded.

When Mia reached her place and she sat on the couch with blanked expression. She sat there for a good 15 minutes without stirring then she shot up and went into her room. She went into the bathroom and she run the shower. Standing like a status under the cold shower with her clothes fully on. She let out a cry. She sobbed into a cups of her palms. She was ashamed and disgusted with herself.

How can I let this happened. This is my fault. How will I face Henry? Will he be ok after this. What will he think of me now? I flirted with Shawn and made him come onto me. He's going to accused that it was me that let him on. He's going to bring up about tonight everytime we had a fight like my ex. My ex will accused me of fucking every men I talked to. Met a glance or crossed a path. Even with my relatives. My cousins and most unimaginable...... with my own father.

My ex knew I was a virgin when we were dating. He would accused and emotionally abused me , call me names. He would get angry and accused me that I slept with hundreds of men when I refused to sleep with him and gave him my virginity.
