Grow Old Without You (Chapter 12)
LAUREN
The doctor's appointment didn't take long, so Camila and I went to our all time favorite Japanese restaurant for lunch. I already called up Keana, and she was more than happy to drop off the girls to the restaurant, as she was to go some place else for the afternoon. I was guessing she found a date for herself.
There were no paparazzi's, thankfully, but there were some people who were asking for Camila's pictures now and then. And as the sweetest person she is, she didn't let them down and took as much pictures as she can. I was happy that I get to see her be her once again. I missed it. I missed her.
"Hey uhm. You're Lauren Jauregui, right?" Someone said beside me.
"Yes, I am. What's up." I smiled to her as I saw her smiled widely.
"Oh my gosh. You're really here! I just saw your posts on Twitter and Instagram. I can't believe you're real."
She said fast as I just laughed.
"I have been real for a while babe." I laughed as I grabbed her phone from her. "Let's take a selfie, and make sure you tag on twitter, or instagram, okay?" I said as we both posed for pictures.
"You are so awesome, and so beautiful. I love you so much. Please stop hiding." She said as she ran to her family.
Nope. I won't be hiding anymore. Not until the end of the tour.
"Come on, Lo. I'm starving." Camila said as she pulled me inside the restaurant as the receptionist brought us to our secluded booth. "Thank you." Camila smiled politely to the receptionist as she left.
"Okay. The usuals" I happily said as I felt my phone ring, seeing Kara's face. "We're already inside, just go in and say Jauregui, baby." I told her as I heard Lana talk to the receptionist. A few seconds later we saw them walking to us as Kara sat beside me, burying her head on my chest as I kissed Lana's head before she sat beside Camz.
"What's wrong" Camila asked worriedly, looking at Kara.
"Aunt Keana let us try on a million clothes." Lana said rolling her eyes. "I hate shopping for pink skirts and yellow dresses." Lana frowned, clearly hating Keana's choice of colors for her. Keana's used to dressing Kara, and Lana is not her typical customer. Camila and were just laughing at our grumpy daughter. Oh gosh.
"But Aunt Kea bought her 10 new records, and she's still complaining." Kara mumbled to my chest as Lana glared at Kara.
"Shut up, nerd." Lana said. Kara hid her face on my chest as I could feel her ragged breaths, indicating she was already crying.
"Lana." Camila said sternly as Lana just looked at her, still frowning. "Say sorry to your sister." She was pissed off, I could see her neck veins popping out.
"But--"
"Lana Camille. Please say sorry to your sister. It wasn't her fault that you are pissed off at Aunt Keana. She is just as tired as you are right now. It's not fair to her." I patiently said as Lana sighed. "And knock it off with that bratty attitude, it's not nice for a 10 year old." Lana looked at me, nodding her head. What I learned from raising a child was talking to them without raising your voice. Trying your hardest, explaining to them why they're in trouble and communication. That's what my mom taught me, and it worked out for her, and it surely worked out for me and Kara. Lana is my problem now.
"I'm sorry Kara." Lana said softly.
"Sorry for what? You have to tell why you're sorry, Lana." I said looking at her sternly.
"Sorry for calling you a nerd. I'm sorry I'm putting my anger on you. And for being pissed off for no apparent reason. Thank you for telling Aunt Kea about the records I wanted, and for getting clothes for me too. I'm sorry and I love you." Lana softly said as Kara looked up at her.
