Grow Old Without You (Chapter 56)
Lauren
I picked up the kids and brought them to my parents' house. It was 15 minutes away from their school, and maybe 40 minutes from our house. Camila's still at home, getting busy with the details of the benefit concert. They've already booked the Venue, and have been flooding twitter and Instagram on the concert details. There were alot of performers who pledged to come and perform, which was making Camila happy. When she's happy, I'm happy.
"Hola Mami!" I said coming in the house as we were welcomed by my dad's singing. Oh Lord.
"Oh my babies!" My dad said walking to us and engulfing the twins in a tight hug.
"Abuelo!"
"How's school? Damn. I haven't seen those pink and blues in a long time." My dad said referring to Carrolton's school colors.
"It's okay." Kara said as she was still hugging my dad.
"She hates school, Abuelo." Lana rolled her eyes walking to the kitchen as she hugged my mom.
"Hey Mami." I said waving at her as I looked at my daughter. Why does she hate school?
"We're having lamb for dinner. Is that okay?" My mom asked as I nodded kissing my mom's head.
"Ofcourse. We would eat anything you put on the table." I answered as I walked to the living room.
"Where's your Mama?" My dad asked the twins as I sighed, of course my dad noticed it.
"Mama's still working on the benefit concert for the weekend." Kara said sadly as my dad looked at me, furrowing his eyebrows. "Mama has been very busy the past week."
"She will be too next week. She leaves on Tuesday." Lana answered as I saw my other daughter frown. I'm gonna have to talk to her about some things.
"Ale said Camila's leaving for Syria? Is that true?" My dad asked as I nodded my head. My parents and the Cabellos still have their BBQ nights, especially now that all the kids are out of the house.
"She is. She's staying for a week, helping and making sure all the funds that are generated at the benefit goes to the relief efforts and such." I explained as my dad nodded his head.
"I'm sure it's safe there, if she's going." My mom said as I nodded my head.
"She reassured my a thousand times already. And besides, Camila and charity work, you can't really stop her." I said as we all nodded our heads.
"Am I late?" Speaking of the devil. "I'm sorry!" Camila said running to the twins to hug them tight. "Babies."
"Hi Mama." Kara said as she hugged her mother.
"How is everything going Mila?" My mom asked as Camila sat on the stool,
"Everything's looking good. I'm flying early tomorrow for press, love. Can you drop me off the airport after we bring the kids to school?"
"Yes of course." I answered sweetly as I kissed the side of her head.
---"I'll see you girls tomorrow at the concert, okay?" Camila said as she hugged the twins. We brought them to school first, and I'll drop Camz off at the airport.
