Grow Old Without You (Chapter 27)

LAUREN

"Lana's gone."

"What do you mean Lana's gone?!" I screamed to the phone as Kara and Keana instantly ran to my sides. Lana's gone? "Ho- Wh-"

"I don't know Lo." Sofi cried. "Mami and Mila went up North somewhere they didn't tell me. I was about to check on Lana, but then she wasn't downstairs anymore." Sofi was talking fast, and I couldn't get my mind around what Sofi was saying.

Keana grabbed the phone from me, as I sat down on the bed, putting my head on my hands as I let out all the frustrations of this day.

KARA

Lana was gone, that was what Aunt Sofi said to Mommy on the phone. She sent me a message a couple of hours ago before we boarded the plane to LA that Mama was going to rehab, and not to tell Mommy yet. I tried calling her, but then her phone's out.

Mommy was crying on her bed. I walked to her and hugged her tight. Resting my head on her shoulder. She was crying hard, and I can't help but feel sad. I'm actually scared of where Lana is. She promised she'd message me, but then that was 6 hours ago. I don't know, but I feel uneasy. I'm feeling scared.

"The cops said to wait for 24 hours? She just survived a fucking hit and run, the driver still hasn't been found, and they're telling you to wait for 24 hours!?" Aunt Kea's screamed on the phone as I hid my face on Mommy's neck.

"Mommy. Something's not right." I whispered to her as she nodded her head. She knows.

"We have to go back. We need to look for Lana." Mommy said as she stood up. I held on to her hand, stopping her from going downstairs.

"Lauren. Sit down." Aunt Kea screamed as I hid behind Mommy. "We're staying here. Sofi's on Florida check. We'll stay here until Sofi calls us."

Mommy was not happy with that, but Aunt Kea held her down. I wanted to tell Mommy about Mama, but I promised Lana.

"I love you, Mommy. I hope Lana's safe." I whispered as Mommy kissed my head. I let the tears fall as she held me tight. I just want to hide under the covers and hug Mommy. Mommy makes everything better.

LANA

I was just limping in the garden, trying to find my phone. I know it's here beside then pool. Found it! I grabbed it and saw messages from Kara, Mama and Mommy.

My leg supporter was itching, so I put my phone in my supporter, like how I hide my phone from Mommy when she gets annoyed. I scratched my leg, and when I looked up, there were 2 men in front of me. They were moving closer, holding on to some sort of cloth.
