Grow Old Without You (Chapter 41)
KEANA
I was in the twins room, getting their dressers ready. I was setting up their closet, putting in another drawer to accompany Lana's clothes when I heard the door open.
"What's up, Lan?" I asked her, getting myself busy again. Personally, I would let them fix their clothes, but I know they would fight over space, and these two are not the same people. One is messy, and one has OCD, which would end up with two angry 10 year olds.
"Aunt Ke, do you think Mama's alright?" She asked me as I stopped on my tracks, looking back at her. She was sitting on the sink, her legs dangling. All the Jauregui's have this habit of playing with their fingers in times of nervousness, and I couldn't help but picture my bestfriend doing the exact same thing 11 years ago.
KEANA THEN, EARLY 2019
"Do you think she's s cheating on me, Kea?" Lauren whispered faintly.
We just put the twins to bed, and we were sitting on the floor of Lauren's room, staring up the sky. Camila was out, partying, while Lauren and I stayed home to take care of the little nuggets.
"Nonsense, Lo. She loves you too much to do that. Don't be stupid." I said as she shook her head. I saw tears fall from her eyes as I crawled to her, hugging her tightly to my chest.
"Is it because I'm fat? She wants a hot person in her arms, and not a whale?" Lauren cried as I shook my head patting her thigh.
"You know that's not true. Don't do this to yourself Lo. You just had two beautiful daughters."
"But do you think she's alright, Kea? She doesn't look okay to me." Lauren cried again as I sighed, not knowing what to say to my distraught bestfriend. I had to be here for her.
Camila's acting like she's single, and it doesn't help that they have to keep their relationship to them to keep their career. I hope one day they could just be free, and just be themselves infront of people.
END OF FLASHBACK
"Ofcourse she's alright, babe." I whispered as Lana looked up at me. She had tears in her eyes, her lips started quivering. I engulfed her in a tight hug as I felt her sob into my chest.
"She- she's n-not o-okay." She cried harder as I rubbed her back, calming her down.
After about 10 minutes of being in this position, I felt her let go of me, and wipe her face with her hands. She was still looking down as I lifter her chin up.
"Lana, everything's going to be okay. I am the one promising you this. I will make sure of it." I said as she nodded her head. I kissed her temple as she walked to the closet, helping me fix their clothes.
"You're the best Auntie ever." She whispered as she smiled lightly at me. "But don't tell Aunt DJ."
"I would certainly tell your Aunt DJ." I laughed as we finsihed fixing their closet.

LAUREN
Finally, home sweet home.
"Ke, we're home." I shouted when I went in the apartment. "Kar, go check if they're here. I'll get dinner ready." I said as I walked inside the kitchen, grabbing somethings I needed for dinner.
"Lo." I felt someone hug me from behind as the smell of Chanel number 5 mixed with smoke and shampoo woke my senses up.
"Oh hey Camz." I said putting my hands on her arms.
