Grow Old Without You (Chapter 24)

It was days into the tour, and we're already in Texas for the hometown shows. Ally and Normani were excited, as usual, and Kara gets to meet Troy and Trey for the first time. It's also her first time to meet Dereck and Mama Andy, Mani's parents, and Papa H and Mama H, Ally's parents. I mean they've met her before, but not yet after 10 years.

"Mama, I'm so nervous. What if they don't like me?" Kara asked as I sighed. We really have to work on boosting her confidence. Lauren said she has been improving since she met Lana, and now that they're apart again, she's starting to doubt again.

"Hey. Has anyone from tour disliked you?" I asked her smirking. She knows everyone from tour loved her. They always hug her, and tell her how beautiful she is. I mean the crew has been like that with us from the start, and having Lana since she was in diapers trained the crew to be as child friendly as possible. They were always playing with Lana, and now with Kara.

"No." She said holding her giggles as I tickled her.

"See, you don't have to worry about anything." I kissed her head as we headed to the hall room where everybody were. Kara was obviously nervous, and she hated big crowds. She gets awkward alot, and I hate that she gets that from me.

"Look who it is! Come here Jauregui!" Dinah said as she crushed Kara in a bone crushing hug. Dinah and Kara has this connection, like what she has with Lana.

It's sweet to think that they have what Dinah and I had before. I mean before all the mess that happened.

"Hi Mila. How have you been?" Papa H said, hugging me tight.

"Everything's good thank you. I'd like you to meet Kara." I smiled at him as Kara was put down by Dinah infront of me.

"Oh my. Look how beautiful you grew, Kar." Papa H said tearing up. He kissed Kara's head as Kara smiled at him. Papa H always stared at Lana whenever they'd meet, as if he's feeling sorry for what Lana was going through without her twin. Now I could see how happy Papa H is. He knows that void of not having Kara with us is already fixed. "I'm Papa H. Aunt Ally's daddy." He said.

"I'm Kara. It's really nice to meet you." Oh Kara, and her manners.

"Someone taught you manners." Papa H joked as everyone in the room laughed.

"Hey. Is than an indirect to me?" I laughed

"It's a Direct to you, Cabello." Dinah said as everyone laughed again,

"Come on, Kara. Let's go to Grandma Andy where you could actually feel welcomed." I glared at everyone as they laughed again.

"Hey, Kara's welcome here." Papa H said laughing as we looked for Mani's family, which were in the other hall. Ofcourse we were welcomed with loud screams and big hugs by Mani's family, Kara got overwhelmed, so she was holding on to my stomach, hiding behind me the whole time.

"You scared my daughter." I said as Andy laughed and kissed Kara's head.

"It's okay love. We're really loud." Andy said giggling. Kara buried her face more on my back as Andy sighed.

"I'm sorry." I mouthed to Andy as she nodded her head, understanding Kara's situation. "Come on Kar. Let's go to the dressing room so we could call Mommy and Lana, okay?" I said as Kara pulled me out of the room instantly, wanting to get out of the hall.

"That was alot of people." Kara mumbled as she sat on the couch, cuddling up next to me.

"Well, you'll get used to it, love." I grabbed my phone and took a selfie with Kara. "Your eyes are beautiful today, Kara." I smiled as I kissed her forehead. Her eyes are glimmering, and there are dark green lightning like streaks on her eyeballs. I remember staring at Lauren's eyes all the time, and I'm glad to always have a piece of her everywhere I go.
