Grow Old Without You (Chapter 44)
LAUREN
Camila's mood has tremendously changed since we have gotten home from the doctor's office yesterday. She has been interacting with the mothers and Keana so much, but it breaks my heart that the twins have been a little distant. I am not blaming them, but I really have to explain Camila's side to them again. I have to talk to them, again, which involves alot of water works and ofcourse those puppy dog eyes they do to me.
The mothers were at the living room with Camila, drinking hot cocoa and coffee. The twins and I are assigned for lunch, would be harder for us to do, considering we're feeding great cooks.
"Mommy, would they like what we're making?" Lana asked, chopping onions. She was tearing up, sniffing and blinking her eyes repeatedly.
"I hope they do." I said, also tearing up 'cos of the onions Lana was chopping. "Kara, you're assigned on praying for the success of this lunch. " I joked as the twins giggled.
"Mommy, I think we should bake them a cake, or some muffins?" Kara suggested, basting the chicken that I took out from the oven. "Oh! Banana Bread!" She excitedly said.
"Okay. After you baste the chicken, would you whip the batter up, so we could put it in the oven soon?" I said as she excitedly nodded her head.
I learned that my littlest one loves to cook. Baking especially. She's like her Aunt Ally.
"Hey I have to talk to you guys about something" I softly said as I saw them look at each other, doing that twin telepathy again. I sighed. "You know Mama's sorry for snapping at you both?" I said as I saw Kara look down. "She really is sorry, and she wants to make things right with you girls. It's also the first time she's spending both your birthdays with us, and it would really be nice if we would be happy on your birthday." I smiled sadly at them. "I know it would be hard to forgive her but--"
"You said she'll get better." I heard Kara whispered as I looked at her, my heart breaking in a thousand pieces.
"Baby, recovery is not an easy--"
"I think I'm tired Mommy. Can I go to my room until lunch time?" Kara softly said, not looking up at me. Oh God.
"Kara." Lana softly said as I saw Kara shake her head and just ran off the kitchen. "I'm sorry, Mommy. She has been--'
"I know baby." I said smiling sadly at Lana. "Well, now she's not here, I guess you're making the banana bread." I giggled as she pouted at me. "I'll help you. Don't worry." I smiled kissing her head.
Lana and I finished lunch, so we invited everyone to the dinner table.
"Where's Kara?" My mom asked as she sat on the table.
"I'll go grab her." I said as Camila stooped me.
"I got her." Camila said making her way upstairs.

CAMILA
"Kara, come on. Time for lunch." I knocked on their door as I heard a faint I'm full on the other side of the door. I knocked again, wanting to see her face, and wanting to ask her if she was okay. But it was a bad idea. "Come on Ka--"
"I said I'm full!" She opened the door, screaming at me with tear stained eyes. "Leave me alone!" She screamed again slamming the door on my face.
I heard footsteps fast approaching me as I felt the blood rush off my face. I did this to her. She did what I exactly did to her a few days ago. So this is how it feels?
"What the hell?" I heard Lauren behind me, as I was frozen. I can't move, or speak. "What happened?" She asked me, shaking my shoulder, but I just stared at her, unable to express what I wanted to say. I felt tears fall down my cheeks as she wiped them away. "Camz." She whispered, her eyes full of pity.
