Grow Old Without You (Chapter 23)
RECAP:
And a fourth voice shocked the three of us.
"G-give m-me l-love."
LAUREN
"LANA?" Kara screamed as she hugged her sister tight. Lana's eyes opened, and I could finally see her pale green eyes!
"W-wat-water." Lana stuttered as Camila ran to the fridge and grabbed her a bottle of water. I grabbed the straw and let Lana sip. Thank God she's okay.
"I'm so happy you're awake! How do you feel? Is anything hurting? Do you remember me?" Camila said fast as she rubbed Lana's good leg.
"Hey. Don't overwhelm her Camz." I said as I put my hand on Camila's shoulder. "Give her some air."
"Lana?" Kara soflty said as Lana looked beside her as she smiled at Kara widely.
"Hello, Sestra." Lana said imitating the famous character of Orphan Black.
"I missed you" Kara said squeezing Lana into a tight hug. "It's really good to hear your voice again."
"Well, i feel like there are scratches on my throat, but I'm fine. I missed you Sissy." Lana said closing her eyes.
"We're very happy to see you awake, Lana. I am so happy." Camila said with tears falling down her eyes. She was sobbing, but smiling.
"Hey Mama." Lana said as Camz kissed her head a multiple times. "Stop please. No slobbery kisses please." Lana giggled as I took a picture of them. My girls.
"I'll give you kisses first, before I call the doctor, okay?" I said walking closer to them as I kissed Lana's forehead and cheeks. "I'm really happy you're okay, Nugget."
"Me too, Mommy." Lana smiled.
---Everything was okay with Lana, except for her broken leg and some bruised ribs. She could leave in about 2 days, and back again for the check up for her plates. She also has to go to therapy for her leg, which she said sucks. Now I know I'll have a grumpy daughter for the next couple of days.
"So you're staying in LA Mommy?" Lana asked me as we were lying down on her hospital bed, cuddling. Kara and Camz left to pack the last of their things, and promised Lana they'll be back in 2 hours, tops.
"Well, I won't leave you alone, when Mama has to tour. You have therapy and check up, so I can't fly you from country to country. So I guess I am?" I smiled at Lana as she hugged me tight.
"Thank you, Mommy."
"Well, anything and everything for my babies." I said kissing Lana's head.
"Can we watch Mama on tour? They're playing a sold out in Miami! I mean all their shows are sold out, but Miami's their favorite."
"We were actually formed in Miami, that's why it's our favorite." I said softly as Lana nodded her head.
"Aunt Mani always tells me it was fate. X Factor, Fifth Harmony. Everything."
"It was. If it weren't for that you wouldn't be here, would you?" I asked her as she shook her head giggling.
"Would you have everything any other way? The divorce? Moving?" She was serious. For a kid who was in a coma, she's thinking too much.
"Well, the divorce made me stronger, and wiser. It made me not to take things for granted, and to value my happiness, and my loved ones happiness more than money, or fame. It taught me more about Sacrifice."
