Grow Old Without You (Chapter 43)

LAUREN

The signs were there. I guess I was just in denial, and really believed that everything would turn out okay now that Camila's with me. Keana  knew it. She knew it was bound to happen. She got mad at me for bringing Camz home this soon, when she got a month left in the facility.

I brought Camz home from the doctors. She went to her room, and locked herself in. I slumped on the sofa, calling Keana, but the line was busy. I busied my self, by cooking myself a meal. 30 mins have passed, and my phone rang.

"Hey." I answered the phone, stirring the soup in the pot.

"Mija, I'm at the airport. Care to pick me up?" I heard my mom's voice on the other line. What the fuck?

"Mom?!" I asked confused at the phone as I heard 4 more familiar voices on the other line.

"Mija, if you're busy, it's okay. Tell Big Rob--"

"I'll get Big Rob to pick you up. Hang in there, Mom." I said as she hung up.

Why the fuck are they here?

I checked on Camz, but she was passed out on the bed, her arm dangling. She has this ritual of untucking the sheets before bed, but I guess the pills worked faster than she realized. I untucked one side of the bed, and slowly moved her under the sheets. She didn't open her eyes, but she mumbled something incoherently.

"Omandismabdu." Camz said as I tried to supress my giggles, but failed miserably. I managed to put her under the sheets, tucking her in, and making sure she's comfortable for bed.

"Sweet dreams, Camz." I whispered as I walked out the room. I didn't know if I was hallucinating or what but I heard a faint, "i love you, Lolo" on my way out of the room.

I walked to the kitchen, trying to get myself to eat, but I wasn't hungry anymore. I just felt full, for some reason. I heard keys dangling, and the front door opening. I guess Keana's home.

"Lo. We have guests. Get your ass here." She shouted. I groaned, getting out of my chair as I saw the 5 mothers that made me miss touring with Fifth Harmony. 5 mothers that made sure all five of us are in the right state of mind.

"Mama's." I smiled, running to their direction. Andrea, Mani's mom was the first one who grabbed me and hugged me tight. Mama Drea, as we call her was always with us. She made sure every tear was wiped, and every heartbreak was mended with a movie marathon, and a tub of ice cream.

"My little emerald." She cooed, hugging me tight. She always called me Emerald, 'cos of my eyes.

"My turn." Mama Pat said as she grabbed me from Mama Drea and hugging me tight. She kissed my cheeks and caressed my face. She looks so much like Ally. "My Lolo, still so pretty.

"Thanks Mama Pat. How was the flight to your back?" I worriedly asked as she shrugged it off.

"Lo, my back has been perfect. No problems." She winked at me as I giggled.

"Hey, overtiming on the Lolo over there." The older Hansen said as she slightly pushed Mama Pat and hugging me close to her chest. Always loved hugs from Mama Milika. Reminds me of a bigger Dinah, which was true.

"Mama Milika." I mumbled on her chest as she kissed the top of my head.

"You better wash your hair, Jauregui. You stink." She said pushing my head off.

"No I don't." I frowned as she grabbed me again and tickled my sides.

"But you still cute." She said as I smiled at her.
