Pickles

You set the arrow against the bow and pulled back, letting out a small breath as you eyed the target. As you were about to let go a beagle puppy ran out in front of your shot, you yelped and quickly aimed upwards so as not to hurt the little puppy. The arrow sailed upwards and stuck in the boars head on the Ares cabin. You gulped and quickly set aside the bow whistling to yourself.

"I didn't do that," you said to no one in particular.

"Puppy! Come back here puppy!" Someone called. You turned and Leo was running towards your direction with his arms outstretched. The little beagle who had interrupted your shot barked and ran around the archery range as Leo chased it trying to catch it.

He then dove for the little puppy and finally caught it. It wiggled in Leo's grip and reached up licking his chin. You giggled at the sight as Leo grinned and walked towards you with the squirming puppy in his arms.

"Hi (y/n)," Leo greeted as the puppy barked again and wiggled around in his arms.

"Hey Leo," you giggled, "who's your little friend?" You petted the puppy on the head and it licked your hand making you laugh.

Leo grinned. "He doesn't have a name yet. But I found him around Camp boarders and I didn't want him getting hurt so when I picked him up I instantly thought of you since I know you love animals. So, here." He handed you the beagle and you squealed in delight cuddling the little puppy.

It barked happily and licked your cheek snuggling into your neck. You smiled and kissed its nose hugging it closer.

"Leo you're the best thank you so much!"

He smiled and blushed slightly cupping the back of his neck. "No problem (y/n). So what are you naming him?" He asked.

You looked own at the little puppy. His ears were too big for his head and he was tricolored, his paws were huge and he had big brown eyes that could melt anyones heart.

"Pickles." You decided.

Leo raised an eyebrow. "Pickles?"

"Yes Pickles,"

"Um, why Pickles?"

He barked in your arms and you smiled. "Because he looks like a Pickles. Don't judge my logic Leo."

Leo chuckled and shook his head. "Okay, Pickles it is."

Pickles barked happily and squirmed out of your grip then started to run around. You laughed and chased the little beagle and started playing with him as did Leo. You scratched his tummy and Pickles panted yipping happily and licking your hand.

You laughed and kept rubbing his warm tummy. "Aw who's my adorable little guy? You are, yes you are."

Leo who was laying next to you on the grass frowned and set his chin in his hand. To tell the truth, he was jealous of Pickles. Leo wanted to be the center of your attention like the little puppy was. Pickles wiggled out of your tummy tickle and came up to Leo putting his paw on the Latinos nose. You giggled at the sight of your two boys and watched as Leo picked the puppy up and set him on his stomach.

Pickles yipped and licked Leo's face who laughed and rubbed his nose against the puppy's. You smiled as Pickles yawned and curled up on Leo's stomach and fell asleep. The Latino picked the puppy up and helped you to your feet.

"Wanna head back to your cabin and put this little guy to bed?" He asked holding Pickles like a baby.

You smiled and nodded. Leo slowly walked to your cabin not wanting to wake the puppy and you opened the door so he could walk inside.

"I think I have a blanket in the closet-," you turned and had to hold in a squeal. Leo was passed out on your bed with Pickles curled up against his stomach, the Latino had his arm wrapped around the puppy protectively and was snoring softly.

You bit your bottom lip and giggled getting out the fluffy blanket and tucking the two in. Leo smiled in his sleep and curled up more under the blanket cuddling the puppy closer. You smiled and kissed Pickles head and then Leo's hair, brushing his curls from his forehead.

"Nighty night you two," you whispered tip toeing out of the cabin. After you were gone Leo sat up and grinned rubbing the sleeping Pickles head.

"I knew you would get me that kiss," he smiled at the puppy.
