"NOOOOOOOOOOO!" The shrill scream that erupted from your lips was enough to make the monsters holding you back drop you.
Leo bent forward and coughed, crimson spilling from his mouth and his eyes rolling into the back of his head. His body slumped forward and you ran trying to catch him. He laid on the concrete floor, blood pooling out around every persons feet. You dropped to your knees sobbing at the top of your lungs holding Leo in your arms, trying desperately to get him to wake up.
"Come on Leo please! You can't do this to me, you promised to never leave. You fucking promised me!" Warm tears fell from your eyes as he never responded, his pretty copper skin paling and his beautiful brown eyes staying closed.
Heart wrenching sobs filled the quiet room full of sneering creatures, feeding off of your sorrow and misery. You held Leo close, trying to feel his warmth, his heart beat again, but it was silent and still. The world seemed to stop. There was nothing but this crushing feeling of sadness and nothing. It felt as though happiness was a foreign thing, a mythological emotion.
The hilt of the knife that penetrated Leo's stomach dug into your chest and you ripped it out, seeing his blood drip from the sharpened blade. You stood, your eyes blazing hellish fire at the monsters before you, laughing at the scene before them.
"You think this is funny?" You calmly growled. "You think murdering an innocent boy is worth laughing about? You think that you can just take him from me?! DAMN YOU ALL TO HELL!"
You didn't even know what happened next. All you saw was flashes of golden dust, and your vision tainted red. Once you came back from your murderous intoxication the ground beneath your feet was covered in monster dust and your own blood from where your hand ran down the blade of the knife as you stabbed. The pain was numb.
The knife dropped from your grasp to clatter onto the floor and you slowly made your way back to Leo's limp body. Your legs were weakening, your stomach was churning, you were going to puke. You dropped on all fours and hacked up whatever contents was in your stomach while sobbing into nothing. The disgusted pinch in your stomach kept making you vomit, you couldn't calm yourself no matter how hard you tried.
After everything was up you sat and wiped your mouth, trembling uncontrollably. You whimpered and screamed and cursed at all the gods above and below and just down right told the universe to go fuck itself. Leo was dead. He was dead. He was dead.
The thought sent bile rushing to your throat and you rolled over throwing up again. It was nothing but water and all your happiness. Joy was a stranger, glee was emptiness. Tears dripped onto the concrete floor and you laid down, your body shaking.
"Go to sleep, go to sleep, go to sleep," you said over and over. Numb is what you wanted. You wanted to drift into a deep dark void of nothing. Where feeling was dead, and sadness was just a memory.
