Promise To The Stars You'll Love Me Forever

(Leo's P.O.V)

'How could someone like her love someone like me?' I thought, my eyes fixated on the night sky spread out before me that stretched in an endless constellation dance. Each beautiful, twinkling light a burning beacon that represented one tiny portion of how much I loved her, and when everything combined it was a spectacular celestial show of my eternal love for her.

Sappy I know but, she was my whole world. My whole universe. My shining star in the darkest of nights. My pool of moonlight chasing away the shadows. Gods of Olympus I sounded like an Apollo kid spilling out poetry. But that's what she did to me. She turned me into this giddy, cheesy, deep being who felt as though I could only truly feel when she was near.

Laying beneath the stars only brought out these thoughts, with my hands behind my head and my heart open to the world I could go on and on for hours about how she made me feel. I was sinking into that vast ocean called love. It made me wonder how a single person could make me feel like this. It was so complex yet. . .so simple at the same time. Her smile melted my heart, her laugh sounded like angel's singing in my ears, her kisses burned with the passion of a thousand suns. I was addicted. Addicted to a girl who surely couldn't see the same in me as I saw in her.

Sighing into the quiet night I was a little startled when a silhouette laid down next to me, my racing heart settling when I felt the aura around the person. It was (y/n). Her soft hand grasped mine, lacing her fingers with my own. I smiled softly and rubbed her thumb with mine, adoring the feeling of her smooth skin against my calloused hand. We didn't speak, which was okay, I loved how we could just sit and not say a word but our love was evident. Well, my love for her.

(Y/n) rolled over onto her side making me do so as well, the dark night leaving her just a black shadow. Yet if I focused hard enough I could make out the outline of her lips, the shape of her adorable nose and gorgeous eyes. I could tell she was smiling which made me grin. Her warm hand raised to settle on my face, stroking my cheek with her delicate fingers. I sighed in content, leaning into her gentle touch.

"(Y/n). . .I've been meaning to tell you for a while now how I truly feel about you. It's not bad I promise, it's far from it. I just. . .you make me feel. . .this is so hard to explain. Then again no one can really explain love can they?" I laughed a little under my breath. "Yeah, I said love. I know we've been dating for only a few months but nothing else can shed light on how much you mean to me. How much I adore you being with me like this. As my soulmate. I feel like I'm rushing this but I can't push away the emotions I experience when with you. (Y/n) (l/n) I absolutely and positively love you and nothing will ever change that."

Her silence made me worry. The crushing feeling of rejection bubbled up and my heart hammered against my chest as though it were going to burst. She shifted and straddled my waist, her hands cupping my face. My cheeks burned as she leant down and captured my lips against her own, my heart racing more if that was even possible. I set my hands on her waist and kissed back eagerly, holding her close never wanting to let my precious love go.

Her kiss was beautiful and soft yet rough at the same time. These were the kisses I was addicted to, the ones that left my lips tingling and burning and craving for more. Once (y/n) pulled away I opened my eyes to see her smiling softly down at me, her thumbs stroking my face lovingly.

"Leo, no words can describe how beautiful that was. I'm so happy you feel the same as I do, I couldn't have said it better myself." She said, her eyes sparkling, stars dancing in them.

A grin spread across my lips and I leant up, cupping her face and kissing her forehead, each cheek, both eyes, nose, chin, temples, and finally her sweet lips. (Y/n) wrapped her arms around my neck pulling me close, her warmth seeping into mine so not an inch of us was empty or cold. My hands gently stroked her thighs and trailed up her spine, I felt her shiver under my touch.

"Promise to the stars you'll love me forever," (y/n) breathed against my lips.

"They already know my promise to you, I made it the first moment I met you." I replied, running my fingers through her soft hair.

She smiled and laid her head against my chest, laying atop my body as I caressed each part of her lovingly, closing my eyes just feeling her deep even breathing. We laid there in the darkness, under the lights of a thousand stars to witness our promise. I don't even need to say what that promise was, it's in your heart right now isn't it?

{A/N}

Soooooo sappy I know but I needed something to make me feel better because guess what? I blacked out yesterday. I was helping my mom hang curtains in our dining room then I saw spots in my vision, my hearing went numb and I fell onto the hardwood floor and blacked out for a few seconds. I'm okay now, I didn't even feel the fall, my mom thinks my iron was low and that's why I fainted. No worries, it just scared me a little.
