Misunderstanding Pt. 2

You screamed. A blood curdling, heartbroken, shrill scream that nearly the whole camp heard. You rushed over and held a limp, pale Leo in your arms and sobbed. His blood soaked the front of your shirt but you didn't care, you just held him, crying.

"What happened?" Jason flew into the room and nearly collapsed, his knees went weak at the sight before him. Leo, dead, in your arms.

You looked up, heart retching sobs escaping your lips then screamed at Jason. "HELP HIM!"

The son of Jupiter ran forward and picked Leo up from your arms then flew to the Camp infirmary, you followed him on foot rushing inside to see Apollo kids running around and Leo on a bed with an oxygen mask over his face. Will ordered his siblings to start IV's and you watched with a hand over your mouth to muffle your sobs.

"Come on (y/n) you shouldn't watch this," Jason said steering you away from the scene of your boyfriend, dying, on a hospital bed.

~~~~1 Week Later~~~~

You sat next to Leo's still body, Will had said it was a miracle. He had clung to life, barely. The heart monitor beeped steadily, the IV kept dripping, and Leo was still breathing. You had cried so much you couldn't even produce tears anymore, the only evidence of you crying were the tear stains on your cheeks and your red puffy eyes.

A sniffle escaped you and you buried your face in your hands, body shaking from dry sobs. You had stayed at the infirmary all week, never leaving Leo's side and Annabeth bringing you meals. Nobody stopped you, nor asked you to leave and go do something. They knew you would either protest or sucker punch them in the face.

"(Y/n)," a voice croaked out and your head snapped up to see Leo's eyes flutter open. He breathed a sigh and turned his head to see a frozen with shock you, (e/c) wide not processing what was happening. "(Y/n)," Leo breathed again and you shot up from your seat leaning over Leo and crying tears of joy.

"You're awake. You're awake you're awake." You laughed through the tears and pushed aside the curls on Leo's forehead from his eyes and he smiled.

"Yeah, I'm awake. You know nothing can beat the Super Sized McShizzle."

You laughed harder, people would have thought you were crazy but you didn't care. Leo was here and he was all yours. You leaned down capturing his lips in yours and he smiled kissing you back with passion. His hand came up running his fingers through your messy hair and you caressed his face, thumbs running over his cheekbones.

You both stayed like that for a while, just kissing. Leo apologizing between each kiss and you saying don't be right back. His lips against yours felt like magic, you thought it was a dream, but once pulling away, and looking into those brown eyes you loved so much, you knew you weren't.

"Please don't leave me," your bottom lip trembled and Leo's warm hand reached up caressing your cheek, fingers on the side of your neck and thumb rubbing your cheek.

"I won't, I swear on The River Styx."

You leaned into his touch and set your hand on top of his, eyes closing and a happy sigh escaping your lips. Leo then took your hand pulling you down on the bed next to him and you curled up into his side, head on his shoulder, legs tangled with his. Leo stared into your eyes, love and unspoken apologies were shared between you two and most of all. . .understanding.
