Make Me Laugh

Make me laugh. You thought in your head as Leo sat across from you with that goofy grin across his face.

Your life was terrible at the moment. Your mortal parent rejected you after you didn't show up for Christmas because you stayed at Camp with Leo who had no one to go home to spend the holidays with. Your best friend stopped hanging out with you because they started following Drew. Your cabin mates stopped talking to you because you failed to guard the flag during a game of Capture the Flag and lost the game for the entire blue team. Life sucked.

"So (y/n), hows everything going?" Leo asked you.

You put on your best fake smile. "Great. Nothing could be better."

Leo smiled at you. Make me laugh, you thought again. You wanted more than anything to just laugh your troubles away with him just like you always did when you were having a bad week.

You silently prayed to the gods that he would make some corny pickup line or lame joke, but he didn't seem into it today. He looked distracted. His slender fingers tapped against the table multiple times and he looked around not meeting your gaze. Leo seemed to be looking at anything except you.

"Are. . .Are you okay?" You asked him.

Leo finally looked at you and a small smile spread across his lips. "Yeah I'm fine. Just. . .thinking."

"Oh, okay," you looked away and hugged your shoulders, arms crossed over your chest. The tears you had been holding back started to surface, a few drops hitting your hand.

"(Y/n)? (Y/n) why are you crying?" Leo asked concerned reaching for your hand across the table.

You lifted your head and with big watery eyes broke down and told Leo everything that you had been hiding deep inside of you. He listened intently, nodding for you to go on every so often. After you were done Leo got up and sat next to you holding you close.

"Oh (y/n) I'm so sorry all of that happened. You should have told me you were being ignored, I'm always here for you no matter what." He whispered.

You nodded and clung to his shirt and buried your face into his warm chest. "Thanks Leo,"

"Anything for my best friend,"

A smile spread across your lips then you felt a finger lift your chin, warm chocolate brown eyes stared intently at you. Leo. His eyes fluttered closed then he leaned down capturing your lips in his. You instantly responded wrapping your arms around his neck kissing back. Leo's arms wrapped around your waist and he pulled you closer, his lips moving against yours slowly and passionately. You both then pulled away for air and stared into each others eyes.

"That's what I've been thinking about," he smiled and you smiled back.

"I'm glad you were thinking about that."

"Hey (y/n)?"

"Yeah?"

Leo smirked, "Wanna see what else comes out of this tool belt?"

You snorted then processed what he just said and playfully shoved him away. "You perv!" You laughed.

He laughed also then scooted back next to you, "But I'm your perv,"

You smiled, "I love you Leo."

"I love you (y/n),"

You were finally happy. You had Leo to make your days better. All because he made you laugh.
