Ugly.
Fat.
Looser.
You aren't worth it.
Just die already.
We've told you before.
Why don't you ever listen?!
A scream erupted from your lips as the hurtful words stabbed you like a knife. All of the voices past individuals who had made it their mission to destroy every ounce of self confidence inside of you. It was down to none, you didn't believe in yourself anymore. Why even keep going? People were going to keep hurting you no matter what. It was never going to stop.
The pain. The heart wrenching pain that consumed your very being. You couldn't take it anymore. You wanted bliss, peaceful bliss filled with golden numbness and free floating soul. Not being able to feel a damn thing was Heaven to you. You wanted nothing more than that.
A cold blade sat on the bathroom sink where you were hunched over, your tears falling down into the drain to disappear forever. You looked up, your reflection showing off a shattered girl with no hope left in her eyes. Tears stained your pale face, your once bright happy eyes were reduced to a dull cracked glaze, sadness seeping into every fiber of your being.
'To hell with it." You thought. "No one will miss me, I'll be forgotten in twenty minutes. Another death in this damned wretched world. This world full of hate and disrespect and hopelessness. I'm nothing but a tiny shard of broken glass, drifting endlessly in a sea of sorrowfulness."
The blade was in your hand, feeling as though it weighed a ton as you brought it up to your wrist. Your hand shook, unable to understand why you were doing this, you hated pain more than anything yet now you were inflicting it upon yourself. The blade kept moving, back and forth until it was split in two from how fast it was shaking, you then groaned loudly in frustration throwing the blade across the bathroom. A sob escaped your lips at how useless you seemed. Not even being able to succeed in killing yourself.
"GODS DAMN IT!" You screamed at the top of your lungs slamming your hand on the corner of the sink so hard it broke off. Your palm slid down on the sharp edge, the broken material shredding your skin.
A shocked cry sounded from you as you looked down and saw blood spilling from your hand, the skin slit in two. Crimson slipped through your fingers onto the floor, pooling in large drops. The pain was numb. Numbness. You didn't even feel it, it was pure bliss. Seizing the opportunity you kept cutting your hand and wrist on the edge of the broken sink, not even feeling the excruciating jab of a thousand needles piercing your skin.
It was numb.
Your body fell to the floor, broken and defeated. You didn't move, you didn't blink, you just stared at the white ceiling above that seemed to swirl. The blood loss was starting to take affect, light headedness and heart slowing down. This was it. You were going to die.
The bathroom door burst open, Leo standing there breathing heavily with tears falling down his face at the sight before him. He dropped to his knees and picked you up, there was no time to get to the infirmary, he would have to treat here. Leo frantically looked through the cabinets, knocking various things to the floor to try and find what he needed. His hand finally reached the gauze and he brought it out along with a bottle of nectar strapped to his waist.
Leo held your wrist up pouring the whole container on your arm then wrapped it up tight to make sure the bleeding would stop. All the while, you never moved. Your mind was still conscious, but it was in a dreamlike state. Everything was clouded and fuzzy, Leo's voice was a faint echo.
"(Y/n)? (Y/n)! Wake up (y/n)!" He screamed holding you close. You didn't respond, you couldn't respond. It was the hardest task in the world just to speak. Leo's tears dripped onto your cheek as he pulled your body into his lap, choked sobs coming from his lips.
"I know what's been happening (y/n), and I'm sorry I was never there to help you. While I was off with the seven, you were here suffering by the hands of stupid people, not an all powerful being. I'm so sorry, I wish I was here so I could save you from this." He kept crying, it was a never ending flow of tears.
"You think that you're not loved, but you are. Damn it you're loved more than anything (y/n), you've just never experienced it before. But please, let me love you, until you learn to love yourself, and even then I'll love you till the end of time." Leo's brown eyes stared down at you, his face full of sorrow and worry and also. . .love.
Your fingers twitched, then with difficulty you gently grazed his hand with yours. Leo grasped it, setting your cold skin against his cheek, a relieved sigh escaping his lips.
"Please Leo," you whispered. "Teach me how to be loved."
He smiled, a warm happy smile that made your heart melt. "I'll do just that (y/n)." And he kissed you, a long, sweet, passionate kiss that showed you that that was far from the last one.
