Going Back Pt. 3

"Oh my gods Steven you did not!" You laughed playfully pushing his shoulder. He laughed with you, his eyes closing and nose scrunching up in the cutest way.

"I did! Travis, Connor, and I were right above the Ares cabin and right as we were about to drop the bucket of whipped cream on Clarisse, I slipped and fell right on top of her while bringing down the bucket of cream with me. It was painful yet delicious."

You laughed harder and shook your head. "You're absolutely insane."

Steven grinned, "I know."

You both laughed until your stomachs hurt and tears pricked your eyes. Steven sat beneath a tree and you sat next to him trying to catch your breath. He stared at you, his green eyes sparkling with amusement. Steven then bit his bottom lip and took your hand.

"(Y/n), we've been seeing each other for a few weeks now, and I was wondering if. . .if you want to be my girlfriend?"

You were taken aback. Sure you liked Steven but just as a friend, you thought he knew that. Leo still had a place in your heart, and you weren't over it.

"Steven I-,"

"(Y/n)! Leo's back!" You turned and Piper was running towards you at full speed. Did you hear her correctly?

"What?" You asked standing.

"Leo's back. He's back with Calypso. (Y/n) I'm so sorry." Piper said pulling you in for a tight hug.

He was back. He was back with her. The boy that you still loved was here and with another girl. You felt like crying, but held back the tears and hugged Piper.

"It's okay Piper. I'm gonna go see him."

"What?" Steven said. You turned and his face was contorted with pain and anger.

"Steven I have to go see him. It's the right thing to do."

He bowed his head then suddenly looked back up, "I'm coming with you."

You opened your mouth about to protest but he took your hand and walked to the Hephaestus cabin with you. Steven knocked on the door and a cinnamon haired, honey eyed girl answered.

"Oh hello. How may I help you."

"We're here to see Leo," Steven said crossing his arms. You stood beside him and looked away from the girl. You knew who she was.

"Calypso who's at the door?" Leo's voice called.

"A couple people looking for you," she said stepping aside.

You cringed as he neared. His chocolate brown eyes still bored into yours, his mouth dropped open and he looked like he was about to pass out.

"(Y/n)?" He whispered.

Calypso glared at you. "So you're the girl who broke him. I've been waiting for this."

Suddenly a sharp pain hit your cheek and your head was snapped to the side. Both Steven and Leo gasped as Calypso stood with her hand raised. She had slapped you.

"Calypso what the fuck?!" Leo yelled pulling her back.

"She hurt you Leo! What else was I supposed to do?!"

"Anything but slap her what the hell is wrong with you?!"

Steven grabbed your face and inspected it. "Are you okay (y/n)?" He asked concerned.

More angry than hurt you nodded then turned to Calypso. "I'm not the one hurting someone else." And you punched her, square in the nose.

She screamed and reeled back, hands flying up to cover her face. Crimson covered her fingers and she screamed again, tears running down her cheeks. Leo held her shoulders trying to calm her and you ran into the woods, angry, sad, and heartbroken all over again.

You ran and ran and ran until you collapsed under a tree and cried your heart out pulling your knees to your chest. Your lungs burned from the running and crying didn't help as you gasped for breath. The longer you sat, the harder you cried, and the harder you cried, the more you thought about Leo.

His smile, his laugh, his jokes, his love. All of the love he had given you then ripped away from your heart.

You looked up and sniffled, warm salty tears falling onto your arms. Suddenly a branch snapped and you whirled around to see someone approach you.

"(Y/n)?" A voice said and you flinched.

"Leo, go away," you turned back around and hugged yourself tighter.

A presence sat next to you and wrapped their arms around your shoulders. "I'm not leaving you. Not again. (Y/n), I never loved Calypso. I always loved you. She was just convinced that I went back because I had feelings for her, I told her about you but she refused to listen. Please forgive me for the pain I caused you. I never want to do that again. I love you so much."

You looked up and without a second thought crashed your lips to his. Leo eagerly kissed back and pulled you closer. Everything else melted away, every sound, every smell, every sight. It was just you and him. He laid back pulling you on top of him and you straddled his hips kissing with passion. Leo slipped his tongue into your mouth and swirled it around in a slick wet heat. A whimper escaped your lips and you pulled him closer by his shirt collar kissing rougher. Leo kissed you back with equal everything.

Leo pulled away gasping for breath and whispered against your lips, "I love you."

You briefly pressed your lips to his then whispered back, "I love you."
