Warning: Very sad.

It was such a long night, filled with business and paperwork and arguments nonstop at the office. You drove home in the darkness of the night, light rain hitting the car windshield, the squelching noise of the wipers clearing the glass. Two A.M glowed green on the stereo next to your favorite music station, the soft melody of your favorite song playing. All you wanted to do was get home to your loving family, kiss your baby on the head while she slept and crawl into bed with your warm, darling husband. Peaceful sleep was only miles away.

Sighing to yourself, headlights ahead lit up the dark road, almost blinding your vision as they didn't turn them down. Indecent much? Wait, why were those headlights right in front of you? The car was weaving lazily from side to side, not slowing down nor having any intention of switching to their side of the lane.

"SHIT!" You screamed jerking the wheel to the left, your car immediately swerving in that direction. The vehicle that you tried to dodge hit the side of your car, glass exploding and the screaming of metal crumpling filling your ears, or was it your own scream? You didn't know. Your car flipped over and over and over until it hit the guardrail and finally stopped, landing on the roof, wheels still turning.

A single teddy bear lay strewn in the middle of the road, lit up by the broken headlights of the flipped car getting wet with rain. Glittery stickers littered its small overalls and a single rip ran down its side from where your daughter had accidentally tore it. The bear watched as glass fell from the smashed windows, saw the lopsided pink car seat that belonged to its owner where it had been sitting when they had left it after falling asleep. One drop of rain hit its chocolate brown marble eye and dripped down its tanned cheek, almost as if it were crying.

"Baby girl please, it's two thirty in the morning I beg of you go back to sleep." Leo pleaded with the one year old as she stood in her crib, doing a little dance showing no signs of tiredness. He groaned and banged his head against the crib bars, wishing you were there to put her to bed. She always conked out at the sound of your beautiful singing voice.

The phone in the kitchen rang making him pop up and grab the small baby, bringing her down the hall to the kitchen so he could answer the phone. Leo picked it up and held his daughter just out of reach so she didn't pull the cord.

"Hello?" He answered.

"Yes is this Leo Valdez?" A man asked, Leo's heart instantly dropping.

"Y-Yes, what's happened?"

"I'm sorry to inform you but your wife has been in a car accident, she's been transported to Washington Hospita-,"

He dropped the phone and ran out into the rainy night with the baby in his arms, Leo strapped her into the car seat installed in the backseat of his truck and jumped into the driver seat speeding down the highway to the hospital. The little girl behind him whined unhappily as he weaved in and out of traffic.

"Mumumumumumum." She said, making tears appear in Leo's eyes.

"Mommy's okay baby girl everything is going to be okay. She just got into a little accident. We're gonna see her and she's gonna smile and pull you into her arms and she's gonna kiss me on the cheek and talk about how she feels fine and-and-," he choked on a sob, covering his mouth with one hand. Leo then kept rambling on and on about his high hopes of you being just fine, how you escaped without a scratch and was going to be released in a few hours to come home.

Once at the hospital Leo ran out of the truck and with shaky hands got the baby out of her car seat, running through the automatic doors to the lady at the front desk. Just as he reached her, a tanned blonde rushed to him and set a hand on his shoulder. Will.

"Leo (y/n) is-,"

"Where is she?! What room?!" Leo screamed frantically as Will tried to calm him.

"Leo listen i-it's not-,"

"WHAT ROOM?!" He roared making the baby in his arms burst into tears at his loud tone. Leo immediately tried to shush her and swayed from side to side, staring at Will intently.

The blonde sighed and took her from him, giving her his hair clip to play with. "She's in room 413 but Leo she's-,"

He didn't even get to finish his sentence because the Latino was running passed the elevator up the stairs to the third floor. Leo raced down halls and just as he burst into your hospital room. . .the heart monitor went flat.
