November 18, Sun and Moon

"AAAAAAAAAAAAH!" The sound of your shrill scream tore through camp, people outside your cabin stopped dead in their tracks, afraid of what monster would come bursting through the door carrying your body in its clutches.

Fortunately, that wasn't the case. Unfortunately, Leo didn't know that. He ran into your cabin brandishing a huge sledge hammer that was on fire, swinging it around the place like a madman.

"Whatever monster has (y/n) you better let her go now or you'll get your teeth knocked out by the Super Sized McShizzle!" He yelled, looking around to see you jumping up and down on your bed, face buried in your phone. Leo slowly lowered the flaming hammer. "Uh. . .so you aren't being eaten alive and torn apart by a monster?" He asked.

"MY HEART IS BEING TORN INTO BITS BECAUSE POKÉMON SUN AND MOON IS COMING OUT NOVEMBER EIGHTEENTH!" You screeched, grinning wildly and hopping off of the bed onto your feet, doing a little happy dance. "I CAN HARDLY CONTAIN MYSELF!"

Leo sighed in annoyance, extinguishing the sledge hammer and setting it back into his tool belt. "Seriously? All that screaming was for a stupid game?"

You gasped and set a hand over your heart. "Stupid? You think Pokémon is stupid? Nope this will not do we cannot be friends, out." You pointed to the door and Leo raised an eyebrow.

"It's just a little person running around catching weird creatures and using them for battle. It's dumb and childish."

You made a deadpan expression. "Really? You're calling it childish when you're standing in the room?"

"Hey I'm childish in a cute and cuddly way!" Leo pouted and crossed his arms making a small smile grace your lips.

"Whatever. Have you actually played Pokémon?"

He scratched the back of his neck. "Well. . .not really no."

"Then allow me to enlighten you young trainer!" You crawled under your bed and pulled out two DS systems, your old faded (f/c) one and the new shiny one. Leo sat on the edge of the mattress while you nestled into the pillows and covers, taking out your spare copy of Heart of Gold then sliding it into the game cartridge in your old system.

"Here, I'm gonna start it up for you then you're gonna love this game as much as I do." You handed the DS to Leo, watching over his shoulder intently as he entered his gender and age.

"Why is the dude white? I'm Latino thank you very much I'd like to represent my race." He complained.

"Yeah that's the only bad thing about the old games, in the new ones you can change skin color, hair color, eye color, plus style so that's an improvement."

"Ah."

Leo had his little trainer walk around for a bit until he got to the professor's lab and went to the table where he would get to choose his starter. He seemed bored, but went along with it because he liked pleasing you. Seeing you so happy made him feel good.

"Oo oo oo you're about to get your first Pokémon! Don't pick Chikorita, it may be adorable but you're basically playing the game on hard mode." You informed as Leo flipped through Chikorita, Cyndiquil, and Todadile.

"Whoa does that little mouse thing have flames coming out of its back?!" Leo exclaimed, making you grin.

"Yep! That's Cydiquil, I think you'll like him."

"Whatever has fire coming out of it I want." He chose Cyndiquil and that's what set Leo off on his Pokémon journey.

After a while of guiding Leo through the game and giving him some pointers you got your other DS and started playing Soul Silver along side the excited Latino. It took a while but he finally got through the first two gyms which was exciting to see, now you two could battle! It wouldn't be very hard though since Leo insisted on only having Cyndiquil, he only wanted fire types.

"Leo I'm telling you I'm going to wipe the floor with you." You said as his Quilava came out of its pokéball.

"Please me and Lucha got this."

Yes he named his Pokémon Lucha, as in fight. It was cute and amusing. You rolled your eyes and sent out Vaporeon, the Eevee you had received evolved using a Water Stone and it was the best decision you made. Vaporeon was crazy strong and its HP was insanely high. As Leo picked his move your water type used Surf, completely destroying poor Lucha.

"WHAT?! YOU KILLED HIM!" Leo shrieked. You laughed and shrugged.

"I told you to pick other Pokémon, you could have had a Mareep but no you had to only have a fire type."

"Shut up Lucha is cool!" He glared, pouting in the process. You rolled your eyes and saved your game, going back to your phone.

"If you like fire types I'm sure you're gonna love the new fire starter for Sun and Moon." You held up the phone to show a black and red kitten on it, Litten sprawled across the top.

"IT'S A FUCKING FIRE CAT I WANT IT!" He said excitedly, you giggling at his enthusiasm.

"I know right! All the starters are pretty cool though, I don't know which one to pick."

For the rest of the afternoon you two discussed the new game coming out and which Pokémon would be on your team. It was fun to finally talk Pokémon with someone else, you always felt lonely because no one you knew liked it. Now seeing Leo loving it so much made you so happy. November eighteenth was going to be a good day.
