"Come on Esperanza, say dada. Say dada." Leo encouraged the baby sitting on the floor playing with her toys. She looked up at him blankly, tilting her head to the side and shaking a stuffed fox that rattled.

"Poofoo!" She said and Leo sighed.

"(Y/n) she's never gonna say dada!" He whined.

"She'll learn Leo just give her time." You smiled kissing his hair. He pouted but got up letting Esperanza play with her toys on the floor.

"But (y/n) everyone else's kids can talk already,"

"Who's?" You asked and Leo looked down mumbling.

"Coach's,"

"Leo Chuck is five years old I would be worried if he didn't talk."

He sighed and crossed his arms. "But Esperanza's smart, she should be talking by now."

"Maybe she won't because you're pressuring her," you mumbled and he frowned.

"I'm not pressuring her,"

"You tell her to say dada every minute of every day. I'm surprised she hasn't knocked you upside the head with her rattle already!" You laughed and Leo hugged you.

"I'm sorry, I just can't wait for her to say her first word."

You stroked his curls as he buried his face in the crook of your neck. "It's okay my Super Sized McShizzle."

"Shizzle," a voice said and Leo turned as you peeked around him to see Esperanza crawling around towards a teddy bear. "Shizzle," she said again.

"SHE SAID HER FIRST WORD!" Leo shouted running over and picking her up. "Say it again! Come on say dada again!"

"Shizzle," Esperanza put her fingers in her mouth suckling them and Leo smiled in triumph holding her above his head.

"SHE SAID DADA!"

"Technically she said Shizzle," you laughed.

"IT STILL COUNTS!"
