Thirty

|A Couple Weeks Later|

"Massage my ankle and feet" ordering Demetri as I'm on the couch, my feet are killing me. Sometimes I just don't know why I spend the long hours at the hospital. I mean it isn't just my feet but also my back.

Demetri gets down on his knees and takes one of my feet into his cold hands to massage them, he stays here with Felix in the guest rooms. I've got two spare rooms since the others are for me and the kids.

"Ma" looking over Joanna is at the top of the staircase walking. That's nice. Wait! What?!

"Joanna!" Looking over to her as she took a step out, Demetri is before her instantly keeping her from falling down the stairs. A hand is on my chest as Demetri brings her to me, holding her close crying "you took your first steps and nearly died"

"Ma" she repeats smiling

"Mom!" Talon runs to the top of the stairs along with CeCe "what happened?!"

"Your sister took her first steps" I tell them as Demetri tells Felix this "now we got to baby proof the place"

"Ma" Joanna smiles

"You little trouble maker" tickling her sides that she laughs. Setting her on the floor we watch as she takes her first steps, walking around the coffee table.

"Ma" she smiles looking at me

Nodding my head "Yeah, you did it baby"

"Hey mom" Talon comes over "what were my first steps?"

Picking up Joanna, placing her on the couch next to me "You were in your crib one minute" I tell him as Demetri started to massage my ankles and feet, CeCe came to the couch "and the next your in my room, said your first word too"

"What was my first word?" He asks

"One of the things Demetri here" tapping Demetri's face with my foot "loves, boob"

Felix snorts as Talon looks at Demetri then to me "I didn't need to know that mom"

"You asked" Felix pats his shoulder

"And last I checked" adding to it "you always stared at women's boobs as a baby, didn't matter where we went you wanted to see boobs. You saw my boobs the most"

He makes a face "Ew! Mom!"

"I breast fed you till you were four" I say, John asked countless times when I'd stop breastfeeding him. I tell him I tried but Talon wanted my breast milk, John came up with the idea to put my breast milk in his sippee cup and give it to Talon then slowly get him off of it by adding regular milk.

"La!" Talon covers his ears going back upstairs "La! La! La!" We laugh as I managed to scar him.

"You always threw tantrums whenever you didn't get any breast milk!" I add

"Demetri!" Talon begs from his room "make her stop!"

"I think you've scarred our son" Demetri laughs

"I know" smiling as I rubbed my belly, looking at CeCe "and isn't it about your bedtime"

"No" she says. Looking at the clock that reads eight thirty "That's broken!"

"I'll put her to bed" Felix picks her up

"No!" She kicks her feet "I want to stay! What if mommy and Demetri kiss?!" Demetri and I actually haven't kissed since two weeks ago when we reunited.

"Then they kiss" Felix answered

"No!" CeCe protests "mommy only kisses daddy! No one else!" CeCe loves her father, so me with someone else is a shock for her.

We see CeCe fly into the room with her light pink wings, yeah they know I'm a Nephilim after CeCe sprouted her wings for the first time before them "Come here" Felix grabbed her waist pulling her away even though she's flapping her wings even harder.

"CeCe" she looks at me as she cries "oh baby, come here" she flies towards me and has her arms crossed with a pouted face "sweetie, do you remember what daddy said?"

"You love daddy" she is close to crying "no one else!"

"Daddy told you" placing her next to me as Joanna goes to the floor and plays with Boogeyman "that he's happy and he wants me to be happy, even if it's with someone else"

"But you can see daddy" she cries "we can see him!"

"Daddy's happy with Helen" pointing to the photo of John with Helen "you remember her?" She nods her head "oh baby, I know it's hard seeing me with someone else" I reacted the same when I was her age and mom dated men who weren't dad "but don't you want me to be happy?"

She nods her head "I want you happy with daddy, I don't want daddy dead!" She cries, holding her close rubbing her back.

"How about this?" She looks up at me "this weekend, I bring you kids up to Heaven and we visit daddy and his wife Helen"

"Really?" She asks

"But only if you be a big girl" having her promise "and not freak out or throw tantrums every time I'm with Demetri, okay?"

She nods her head "Okay"

"Good" kissing the top of her head wiping away her tears after "go to bed, but first"

"Sorry Demetri" She apologized to Demetri "for being mean to you"

"It's alright" he nods his head

"Come on" Felix picks her up "let's see if Harry and his friends get the Sorcerer's stone" they just started the Harry Potter series. We watch as they leave with Boogeyman while Baba Yaga curls up next to Joanna's head, Joanna is on the couch playing with one of her stuffed animals that's down here. 

"Have you visited John" Demetri asks me "recently?"

"He told me he wants me to be happy" I say "and that he doesn't mind you holding me as I sleep at night...now tell me about the newborn army being created to hopefully end my cousin"
