Sixty Four

Rubbing my belly as I'm taking a nice relaxing bath, the baby is coming any day now and I need every relaxing minute I can get. My grandmother who was visiting from Hell aka she escaped and is now possessing some dead lawyer's body, I asked her about my powers and yes they affect my own physiology so if I will myself I could in theory be my own birth control.

Feeling slight twinges of pain like I have for the last two hours, I open my eyes realizing those twinges of pain were early labor pains. Getting out of the tub just as my water breaks, rolling my eyes I quickly dry myself off before grabbing my robe and a pair of shoes.

Grabbing my hospital bag, I look around before stopping feeling the first wave of contractions. Breathing in and out deeply, I go through the pain. Thankfully I've done this enough times that my body expects how bad each contraction will be.

Entering the kitchen, I see Felix prepping the food for the next few days. I suggested we be one of those people and get organizing products for the fridge and drawers and basically everything "Great your here"

"Hi" he looks at the hospital bag "why do you" waving to the bag "do you have your hospital bag?"

"Where is everyone?" I ask

"Stephanie is sleeping on the couch" he explains "Demetri just took the dogs out for a walk, the kids who aren't in school are taking a nap, Kimmy is at the store, Amy is at that practice place and DJ is at work. Why?"

Letting out this groan. Felix is instantly next to me which was a bad idea since he fell when I grabbed his arm squeezing hard enough to rip off a limb "Shit!" This contraction is coming much faster "You need to get me to Seaside Wellness, now!"

He nods his head bellowing "Stephanie!" Picking me up as we leave, she wakes up looking at us "When Demetri gets back order him to Amy's workplace" I decided to go for a home birth this time, no hospital "Ruby's in labor"

"Really?" She asks

"Why not call him?" I ask "on his phone?"

"He left it on the table" getting me to the car, I take deep breaths as Felix drives very fast. He calls Amelia who picks up "babe, Ruby's in labor"

"Really?" She asks "Right now?"

"Yes!" Screaming when I feel another contraction "Hospital Felix, this baby isn't waiting!" He nods his head.

"I'll let Addison know" Amelia says "she's at the hospital right now" holding onto the car, another wave of pain goes through.

"Please tell me" Felix asks "your not birthing that baby right now"

"No" shaking my head no as we get to the hospital, he helps me out and to the ER where I fall in pain. Nurses come over to help me to a bed "Where's Demetri? Why didn't he have his phone with him?"

"Amelia called" Addison enters and looks my way "so when did your water break?"

"About twenty minutes ago" she checks and her eyes widen.

"Your son isn't waiting" she says "you need to push"

"I'm not pushing" shaking my head no, beginning to cry "not without Demetri—he already missed his one son being born I won't let him miss another" grabbing Felix's arm when I cry, Felix falls down in pain.

"God you've got a grip" he complains rubbing his arm when he stands up "oh thank god"

Demetri enters and I push now "Finally!" Taking his hand as he rubs my back.
