Forty Three

"So does your mother normally do this?" Asking Talon as it's been months since we've seen Ruby, she went off with that Mr. Nobody for the government and checks in every day but won't say why she's gone. She's in LA and that's all I know.

He nods his head "Yeah, but this is a good distraction. When my dad John was alive, he had a hit on him" yes, I know about the twenty four million dollar hit "and mom went down to Rio and got a bunch of money and destroyed the city"

"Heard about that" we stop when we see people starting to slow down, then their hearts stop but they aren't dead. Looking over hearing a flap of wings it's Amenadiel who is here with CeCe.

"What do you want?" Talon demands "Shouldn't you be with dad and his wife being happy and hurting mom?"

"Talon" warning him as CeCe comes over to us.

"I'm sorry" she apologized to me, looking up at me "I...I was very angry with mom about my dad dying that I didn't realize she was also in pain and I was putting her in more pain"

"I'm not the one you should be apologizing to" she nods her head, that Amenadiel has told me that CeCe realized her mistake over a year ago but wasn't allowed to come to home unless it was to go to school "and even then I doubt your mom will listen"

"But" she begins to cry "I miss my mom, I'm sorry"

"You hurt your mother in a way I didn't think a mother could be hurt" snarling at her, she takes a step back "your mother if you know is a stubborn woman, you made it very clear your feelings towards me and me being with your mom"

"Demetri" Amenadiel says my name

"No!" Snapping at him as I say what I've been wanting to say for a while now "you know the pain this child has been putting on her mom, I'm not going to walk on egg shells with her. You Constance has been nothing but a spoiled little brat, you have been disrespectful and your mother has been trying to raise you to be a good person but all you are is a brat. Even if you do come home things won't be the same, if you heard or children in custody battles or one parent spending more time with the other that is what you put your mother through! If you come home, don't expect to be home permanently. Your mother will only expect you to be at home for a little bit but won't think you want to be there!"

"I'm sorry" she says

"You may be sorry" I say "but you hurt your mother and don't forget your immortal, so your mother probably won't want you back for years" she begins to cry even more and I look at Talon who is glaring at her "let's go home"

"Wait!" CeCe runs to me "please, don't leave me. Dad helped me see what I did was wrong and" she's crying now "I want to come home and be with mom and my siblings, please"

"If you come home it will be when your mom is home" I say "currently your mom isn't home and I am, I know your feelings for me are clear. Stay away from me" going to the car, CeCe cries as her uncle flies her back up to Heaven.

"What do you want Constance?" Time is frozen as Ruby looks at CeCe, CeCe was brought to her mom on the beach where we are all at. It has been months since I've been CeCe and she's nearly ten.

"Mom I'm so so sorry" CeCe apologized to her mom "I was so angry with you for dad dying that I only saw red, I realize now that this was dad's decision. Him dying and him wanting to be reunited with Helen. Then when Demetri came into the picture, I was even more angry and...I'm so sorry"

"You love you dad" Ruby sighs

"I also love you mom" CeCe hugs her mom "I'm so so sorry, you deserve to be happy. If Demetri makes you happy then I'm happy"

"Do you really mean it?" Ruby asks

CeCe nodded her head crying "I missed you mom and I'm so sorry" Ruby cries holding CeCe close, Talon comes over to me with Nico who has grown so much in one year.

"Dad" I smell something fowl "I don't do diapers" Nico is taking longer to potty train then Ana, she got it down months ago but Nico has been taking much longer. Ruby has assured me that some kids take as long as turning three to be potty trained.

"One day" looking at Talon "your going to do this"

"I'm never having kids" he proclaims

A laugh escapes me "You say that now" it takes me a few minutes to change Nico, when I'm back CeCe is before me "Constance"

She gulps looking up at me "You make my mom happy...I'm sorry I didn't see that before, you were right I was a brat. If it's possible, I'd like to have a second chance at getting to know you"

"If you truly mean what you say" nodding my head "then we can try again, but this is your last chance am I clear?" She nods her head

Going over to the others, I set Nico down who goes running to Anastasia and Joanna who are building a sand castle with Ruby. Ruby looks my way and smiles "I saw CeCe went to talk to you"

Nodding my head, we look over to CeCe and Talon. The only way I'm out here is because Ruby made the day overcast with a bunch of white clouds. "How do you feel?"

"I missed my daughter" she says "I'm glad she's here...I hope it's permanent"
