Sixty Six

Ruby and I snap our heads to the door when the kids come in all disheveled "Mom, papa" Nico begs "we want to stay here"

"Those Gladstones are animals!" Ana cries rocking herself back and forth. It's Thanksgiving tomorrow and there will be about sixty people here, half certain some people will go crazy aka DJ since she needs schedule and everything.

The kids were supposed to bunk with the other kids on the second floor while up here all the adults would be here, minus the babies who are in their own room. All of Ruby's old friends from residency are staying on the third floor with us adults.

"Sure" Ruby waves and the kids grab their air mattresses and put it all around, well the twins sleep with us in the bed while Joanna and CeCe sleep in the same bed while Talon is by himself.

For the last month we've been preparing for tomorrow, so the food that we've managed to harvest with Ruby's help of her powers we've got a very good amount of food to use tomorrow. Unfortunately none of the animals are ready to slaughter.

|Ruby's POV|

"Deej?" Hobbs asks DJ as he helps her prepare dinner, well helps us. Those of us who aren't outside playing football are in here preparing dinner "are you tired?"

"No" she shakes her head "I just need all sixty whatever many people here crafted to my perfect schedule"

Cristina just stared at DJ "She's tired" I tell everyone "she shared a bed with six kids and there were those who peed and the one who didn't"

"Maybe you should get some rest?" Demetri suggested "we've got it"

"But the picture" she says before screeching when Hobbs picks her up "Luke!"

"Come on" he carries her upstairs and I take over mashing the potatoes, the door opens to Steve announcing "Happy Thanksgiving!" He comes in with Matt and their girlfriends. So whose here your wondering? All my friends from Residency: Meredith, Cristina, Alex, Jackson, April, Arizona and Callie. Unfortunately Derek is here too. Sophia, Zola, Bailey and Ellis are all here as well and are with the other kids outside. Then you've got the Crew that consists of Dom, Brian, Tej, Letty and Roman who are with everyone outside while Mia is in here playing and the kids are also outside. Basically all the kids who aren't being breastfed by me are outside. Sky is the only infant amongst all the kids. Next you've got Danny Tanner, Jesse and Becky, they're twins, Joey and his family and to have all of us under one roof? It's a mess.

"Hey guys" waving my hand to them

"Where's DJ?" CJ asks

"She's taking a nap with her boyfriend" I say

"Boyfriend?" Steve shrieks, is he still in love with her "Sorry, I'm just shocked"

"We're here!" Mom and dad enter with Aunt Maze and the food and drinks they brought.

"Great set it on the table" pointing to where they should set the food, they nod their heads setting it down.

"So" Steve asks "back to the boyfriend? Who?"

"You've met him" Felix tells them "Hobbs?"

They are shocked, after another few hours we've all but finished making the dinner and are now chatting when DJ and Hobbs come downstairs. DJ looks much more refreshed "Did you"

"We've finished dinner" Amelia assured them "you look much better"

DJ blushes and Hobbs has a smug look on his face, those two had sex didn't they? "So we heard" CJ motions to the two "you guys make a lovely couple, we should all get together some time"

"Oh wait" Crystal exclaims "we are!"

When everyone runs in, we order them into the living room. I'm holding Sky since he's crying from the loud noise, Felix is going to take the photo. "QUIET!" Everyone stops to look at Felix "Better, this will take a second then you all can talk" after a minute we take the photo then leave.

"I swear" DJ looks at us "I don't know what I'd do without you all"

"Go crazy" Amelia says

"I'd like to make a toast please" Danny stands up in a suit, turns out he was going through a crisis since he almost got hit by a very slow falling bookcase "to my daughter DJ, for reminding me what's important in life. A beautiful family and friends and this incredible thanksgiving feast"

"Well" DJ motions to us "it wouldn't have been possible without the help of my girls, Felix, Demetri and Ruby's friends"

"I would like to make a toast" Steve speaks up "to the new couple Luke and DJ, who knows if it'll work out?" It seems someone is still hung up on DJ, oh my god this is like with Meredith and Derek all over again. Dammit! "The statistics say no" Roman coughs on his drink "but I'm pulling for you both"

"I also" standing up holding out my glass "want to say I'm happy you both are together, even though Steve's statistics say no it's not true. I mean if a dumbass neurosurgeon who used his power over one of my closest friends to trick her into falling for him worked out—not naming a certain male Shepherd that's name rhymes with Erik" Demetri, Cristina and Felix snort while Derek glowers at me.

"I" Derek stands up "want to say I'm thankful for the fact that I have a beautiful wife and children who aren't a bunch of criminals"

"Oh" I say looking at Derek "I want to add the fact that at least my criminal record was wiped clean unlike a certain Dr. Dumbass"

"Children present" he says through a smile

"They've heard worse" shaking my head also smiling "and I'm thankful for having a healthy coping mechanism instead of being a coward"

"At least I" Derek says "don't end up with bullets being shot at me"

"No just the one time" I remind him of what happened a few years ago.

"What is your problem with me?" Derek demands

"You don't want me to start" shaking my head as I look at Meredith "congratulations Meredith on your husband leaving to work for the president, your free to clear your mind and possibly find a healthy relationship"

"Are you both" Dot asks "fighting?"

"No" we both sit down glaring at one another.

"Okay" Amelia stands up "I want to say I'm thankful for my soon to be husband Felix, our daughter Dot and after much discussion we've decided to adopt a baby" we congratulate them.

"On the note of baby" Jesse stands up "my beautiful wife Becky has such a big heart and somewhere out there there's a kid who needs out love so, I'm here to tell everyone we're going to adopt a baby"

"Really?" Becky smiles "have mercy"

"I also want to say" Joey stands up "that Kimmy has offered me and my family to stay here as long as we'd like—so we're staying for another month" Amelia and I cough on our drinks. Another month of Joey's kids? No thank you.

"I'm going to a motel" Max says
