Seventy Four

|Ruby's POV|

"Autumn" Autumn's younger sister Amy is before me as we are talking in my office, Autumn told me she was clear with Amy about how a baby needs a grownup and if Amy can't be a grownup then the baby should be adopted "told me to talk to you about teen pregnancies?"

"Yes" nodding my head, we are silent "I was sixteen when I had my first child. Talon. I won't lie, it was hard—even with all the help I wasn't mature enough"

"But you matured?" She asks

"Yes" I talked with Anne and I told her about this school for girls that are also pregnant "but Amy you have to realize that having a baby doesn't mean you automatically need to get married, a baby needs a parent who is willing to put their needs before their own. Or if you're going to have something that you have a support system, I had that with my family but no one else" using my abilities "Amy? What is it you truly desire at the moment?"

"I...I don't" she shakes her head tears running down her face "want a baby. My dad is suggesting I go back to my old school but everyone is going to be judging me and Autumn is no help. She gave me your baby to take care of" that was my suggestion, Demetri thought it was a horrible idea "and I couldn't take care of him and my grandma says adoption isn't an option"

"It is" nodding my head as I move to sit down next to her "adoption is always an option, especially for teenagers in your position. Just because your grandma has her own personal beliefs doesn't mean you should be influenced by them. You need to do what is right for you and for this baby"

"My mom is telling me about this school for others in my position" she wipes away her tears with the tissue box I hand her "and my dad wants me back at my old school"

"What do you want from that?" I ask

"I don't" shaking her head "want anyone to see me like this, I don't want an abortion that is clear but I don't want to keep this baby"

"Then you know what your heart is telling you" I say, she gets up and leaves. Shaking my head, I get a call from the school saying my son is in the principal's office.

It takes about fifteen minutes since I'm driving there, once I arrive I go into the principal's office where Demetri is "What's going on?" I demand

"Dr. Nightstar" the principal motions for me to sit down "I'm glad you and your husband are here"

"What's this about?" I ask

"There was this guy who was calling Autumn a slut since she's with me and that her entire family are sluts" Talon explains "so I tackled the guy and"

"He put the boy in the hospital" Demetri explains "now Talon is suspended"

"So you're saying" I demand from the principal standing up "that your school allows bullying? My son was standing up for his girlfriend and here you're telling me that it is okay to have people bully each other! I was told last week that another student beat up another student so badly that that kid ended up unconscious, so maybe I should go to the board and demand what the hell they are going to do about this since it's clear you are an incompetent principal!" We hear lightning strike outside even though there are no thunderstorms "I know quite the number of schools that would have had this situation handed just like the Chlamydia hysteria outbreak that occurred because of your incompetence to give safe sex seminars! Then you go and tell me that I had no right in listening to teenagers when they ask me about their problems when that is what this school hired me to do! Oh no! I'm going to make sure this school closes and you are out of a job because this is unacceptable! Where is my daughter?! Where is CeCe?!" CeCe skipped a grade so she's now in high school "and where is Autumn?! She is not allowed to be in a school where it allows this kind of behavior!"

When I leave, I find my daughter CeCe who looks my way "CeCe we are leaving"

"Ma'am" the teacher looks my way "you can't just"

"I" looking at the teacher glaring at him "am taking my daughter out of school, try to stop me. I dare you" his legs give out and he hides under the desk like a child.

"Dr"

"No!" Screaming at the principal when he is before me "My son and daughter are no longer going to this school and when I'm through this school will be demolished!"

Autumn I find is in the guidance counselor's office with two other people "Autumn we are leaving, I am having you pulled out of this school because when I'm through with this school no one is going to have a job here!"

"This is Talon's mom" Autumn introduces me as I'm heaving, my face red and I'm extremely pissed of "this is Adrian and her dad"

"Oh, your Adrian" I shake her hand "it's so nice to meet you" she's friends with Autumn and Talon "hello"

"Hello" her father shakes my hand "I'm Ruben and why are you planning on shutting down this school?"

"Because of incompetent bastards" cracking my knuckles "and I'm not afraid to get my hands dirty" looking at Autumn, the last few months Autumn has been living with us at the Fuller house. Ironic, Fuller house. I mean it's true. It's a full house "come on sweetie, lunch is on me"

"So you want a divorce?" Anne is with me, DJ, Kimmy, and Stephanie.

"Yeah" nodding her head "but I need a job and Autumn told me about an opening at your restaurant?"

"Yes" nodding my head "I need a new bartender, how good are you at bartending?"

"Pretty good" she says "I was a bartender in college"

"Then you're hired" she lets out a surprised laugh "I trust you Anne, more so than George. Plus I pay my employees well"

"Thank you" we hug, pulling away from one another "This is good, this is a good start. You have no idea how much this means to me"

"I know what it was like being a single mom" assuring her "how hard it was, I hope your daughter Amy gets her act together"

"She actually said" Stephanie asks "she wanted you to raise the baby? She does know that if she leaves high school she can't go to college and leave the kid with you and expect the kid to want her when she gets back right?"

"It's all that Ben's fault" she complains "he got the idea of marriage in her mind and now she thinks she can have it all, but I doubt she has even thought it completely through. She is being reckless and impulsive"

That reminds me a bit of Amelia. Who actually just had her own hybrid baby with Felix, twins. Boys. They named them Scott and Scooter. I thought it was a joke but when she said it wasn't, I tried my best not to laugh while talking to her but after I laughed. I feel bad for Scooter. But yeah, Amelia is now a vampire and she's been off the grid for a few months now. They are doing great from what Felix has told us.

"You should move in here" DJ suggests

"What?" Anne lets out a laugh

"Yeah" nodding our heads "there's a free room here" and we bought another house, the house next door and we're going to connect the two houses together for more room. The kids are really excited about the prospect of their own rooms and us getting a pool. Us women are basically building a coven "and you can move into it if you want?"

"Rent free" Kimmy offers

"Really?" She asks

"On the condition you help out" Stephanie says "like me, there's this mini farm we have in the back that I tend to and I'd like the help. Plus the cleaning of the house us a lot"

"Sure" nodding her head "thank you guys so much"
