Sixty Three

|Ruby's POV|

Demetri is behind me with his hands on my belly, our faces are painted to look like skeletons as we take a Halloween themed photo shoot. Halloween is in a few days and it's the first time in years that I'm able to decorate the house and create my own Haunted House. The last time I did this, five kids needed therapy and seven adults went insane.

When the photo shoot is over, Demetri and I head home where we see Max has a friend over "Oh, hello" waving to the small child who looks our way "are you and Max having a play date?"

"This is Taylor" Max introduces us "Taylor this is Demetri and Ruby Nightstar"

"Hello Dr and Dr Nightstar" he greets offering us a smile "it's. a pleasure to meet you and no, I came by because Max asked me to explain to Mrs. Fuller why this house is the lamest house on the block" placing his hand on his chest "according to my blog"

"Oh?' crossing my arms smirking "well lucky for you. Taylor, I'm in charge of this year's decorations and last time I threw a party" leaning in to whisper in his ear "I put five children in the psychiatric ward, so be sure before you bring the consent forms I sent your parents allowing you to come" I had forms sent out that anyne under the age of eighteen needed parents or guardian's consent before entering my house of horror.

"Oh please" he scoffs "no offense Dr Nightstar but the last time I was scared was when I was five" putting up five fingers "I doubt your haunted House will scare me"

I offer a smile "I do love a challenge" going over to the door "Now leave little boy" my demonic voice comes out "for tonight will be the last good night's rest you'll get in a long time" he warily leaves keeping an eye on me. Demetri, Max, DJ and Hobbs all stare at me "what?' Hobbs and DJ are now dating, I'm an amazing match maker or what?

"Did you" Hobbs lets out a laugh "really just threaten a little boy?"

"No" shaking my head "I was warning the little munchkin" clapping my hands "I need to get some demons"  Before I can go upstairs, Demetri picks me up and carries me upstairs "Really?

"Only one month to go" he says "not risking anything" he stops to look down at me "how exactly are you going to scare that little boy?"

A sadistic smile forms on my face "Oh Demetri, i thought you knew? Halloween is when us monsters come out for our fun"

"Now remember" looking around at all the demons that I've brought up from Hell that are possessing dead bodies from other countries, can't have any local bodies cause that would raise suspicion "tonight is about scaring these humans, showing why you are demons!" the demons all cheer loudly.

"Everyone" Maze orders her brothers and sisters "to your stations now!" 

leaving the House of Horror I have created, I see DJ and Hobbs looking my way as loud screams of terror and dark lights shine from inside the house, Demetri I've ordered to go with the kids trick or treating since he needs to savor this moment before they run off and leave us forever. Okay, I maybe exaggerating a bit.
