I run through the woods, my breath is heavy as I try not to get disoriented because of this beautiful forest. I don't understand how there are blooming gold flowers and lilies that are playing music. I take out my sword as I approach the butterfly dragon, it might look tiny but it has immense power. So I need to kill it. I do my best not to step on a branch but I hear the crack of one nonetheless. I look at my feet and don't see anything. I frown but than I look up to see a golden arrow pointed at me. "Don't touch anything in this forest." I feel fear in my heart when I suddenly recognise the bright golden eyes that only seem to have collected more colour.
"Wait, prince Earendil?" He lowers his bow. "Healyn?" He says as his golden hood falls off, revealing white hair that is gold coloured at it's roots. "Is that you" We say at the same moment. "Show me your ear." He says as he aims his bow at me again. I lift my dark brown hair and show him the scar going through my ear. "It is you." He says and put down his bow and arrow. I look at his beautiful uniform. It is beautiful white silk that is elegantly stroking his skin. The blouse is loose fitting but it is tucked into the tight high waisted trousers. There are details made of cherry blossom and precious stones I have never seen before. He isn't wearing any shoes, so his porcelain skin softly graces the ground but it doesn't look like it hurts. His white woolen cloak is detailed with gold. Where did he get these clothes, they fit this forest but it doesn't resemble what he used to wear. His white ethereal face is as beautiful as the day he left. I don't remember how long it must've been. At least hundred years. A tear slowly trails it's way down his face, but instead of a normal tear it is gold. "What happened." I ask caressing his face. "Your father is worried sick." He hugs me tightly "I missed you." "You have no idea" I respond
"Follow me." He says as he begins to run dragging me along on my sleeve. We pass birds I could've never imagined, we even pass grazing unicorns, which I thought were extinct, beautiful trees bearing stones as wonderful as the best one you will find in a mine, other trees bearing fruit and flowers I don't know. We walk into a waterfall but don't get wet. He begins to climb a stair that has been chiseled into the rocks. "Come on please." he says as I hesitate. I smile and follow him. We are standing in front of a thing covered in ivy plants. "Don't be scared." He says as he passes through the plants.
There's a whole oasis of beauty and rocks. But the most terrifying of it all is that it is filled with dragons. One gold one flies towards us and Earendil begins to run. "What are you doing." "Meet Aegnor" He yells as he lands on the back of the dragon. I watch him as he flies through the cave. He says as the gold dragon lands in front of me. I tremble and would like to run away but I cannot move. "He's a gold dragon, intelligent creatures, don't like to talk our language though, but he understand everything you say." He brings his nose to my face and huffs. I wipe away the gold powder. "I saved his life, he saved mine." "You didn't need saving Earendil!" The dragon roars. I get scared. "Calm down Aegnor, he does not mean it." He says while looking at me with a frustrated expression. "My name is now Aranion and don't assume you know everything Healyn."
He brings me a fruit that I am not familiar with. It has a golden peel and an orange inside. I look at it. "What is it? Are you afraid I am poisoning you?" I shake my head. "Of course not. I would never" I say, he chuckles as he takes a bite out of the fruit. "Oh Healyn, I have bad news. Now that you are here you can't leave the forest without my or Aegnor's permission." "What? Why not?" "And do you give me permission." He chuckles, "I am not foolish Healyn, you are still a dragon hunter, I don't think we can trust you yet. Which is also why I have taken all your weapons." He says while he eats the fruit, relaxed as ever. "How do I know you won't tell the others? Or tell them about me? That would be even worse, I hope my father thinks I am dead." "You can't keep me here forever." He smiles, "Watch me Healyn. We can keep you here. It wouldn't even be hard." "This is why I didn't miss you when you left!" I scream
Aegnor looks at Aranion as healyn walks away. "Elves, am I right?" the dragon makes a strange sound similar to a laugh. "You are right, not all elves are like that."
Earendil
I look at the target displaying the head of a dragon before letting go of the bowstring. I hit the target exactely between the eyes. I smile, I feel good, I have always been best at target practice. But when it comes to real dragons, I cannot do it. It feels wrong to me, they are so beautiful, so regal. So smart. Healyn approaches me, "I heard there is a dying golden dragon in the woods. We should bet, I bet I can find him and kill his before you can." "Accepted" I say
I look into the beautiful wise eyes filled with golden tears. He must be in pain, I put my hand on his short nose, she doesn't even flinch as my hand touches the place between his eyes, the place we would normally shoot, he only closes his eyes. "What did they do to you" I say while caressing his face. The dragon moans in pain. I feel a tear streaming out of my eye. I look at the wound in the dragon's belly. I begin to whisper a spell, I cannot let this being die. "So what is your name? You are a real beauty, you must be powerful." "My name is Aegnor"
