"You're doing what?" Anita exclaimed out with wide eyes.

"I'm quitting," I repeated with my hands on my hips. "I'm leaving Spain. So I'm letting you go. But thanks for all your hard work."

I turned to walk through my apartment that was nearly empty now as movers passed by carrying the last of my boxes. Anita scurried after me. "Wha?! Keiko, you can't just quit! We have appointments, interviews, and photoshoots! What about those?"

"And I told you that I'm done with that stuff," I said firmly, turning around to face her. "Look, I'll pay you extra for any grievances, but I don't want to have anything to do with that world anymore."

"But... But if you're leaving, what about Camila FC?" she questioned. "Where are you going to go?"

"Until I've finalized my future plans, I'm going back to Japan to be with my family," I answered. "It's the best thing for me right now."

"So you've made up your mind?" Anita looked shocked. "Wait, who did you choose to sign with?"

"No offense, Anita, but I don't think you understand what it means to be let go," I murmured and put a hand on her shoulder. "Since you no longer work for me, you're going to have to wait like everyone else for my decision. You did a great job, okay, but this life isn't for me. Good luck in the future."

"But-"

"You heard her," Eme interrupted from where she was dragging my suitcase out of my bedroom, followed by Callista and Ellis. "She's done. Just let her go and walk away, Anita. Keiko has a plane to catch."

Anita turned back to me with pressed eyes. "I think you're making a mistake! Think about it for-"

"I don't think so," I interrupted with a shake of my head. "And it's my life, so, even if I do, the consequences will have nothing to do with you." I let go of her shoulder and waved. "Goodbye, Anita!"

Anita let out an angry sigh before turning and stomping out of the empty room without another word.

"Adios!" Callista called after her down the hall before turning back to me with a grin. "I'm not gonna miss her."

I let out a sigh and shrugged. "I hope that doesn't backfire on me."

"Sometimes things can be confusing, but at the end of the day we just have to do what makes sense and what feels right," the blonde told me sincerely. "You're making a good decision, Keiko."

Ellis nodded in agreement before saying, "Callista and I are going to go put your suitcase in the car. We'll meet you down there."

"Okay!" I said and the two disappeared from view.

"It looks a lot emptier when there's nothing inside," Eme commented, referring to the bare apartment as she looked around. Her voice echoed off of all the walls and floors.
