Chapter 21-Obsidian Horse

Two weeks have passed since the opening of our inn, and in that short span of time, so much has already happened. Every weekend, we close the restaurant to non-guests as per contract. If there are only a few check-ins, the other staff gets the day off. During those weekends, I trained our five chefs with various meat dishes, introducing them to cuisines from Earth—especially our bestselling desserts like ice cream and halo-halo.

They were amazed at the taste. Even simple sautéed vegetables became gourmet meals in their hands. The fruits and vegetables here may look different, but the flavors are even better than Earth’s. The slimes had grown significantly in number, each type now had about fifty individuals.

The slimes are very helpful, the Cleaner Slimes took care of the dining areas and even cleaned the entire inn. Garbage and Acid Slimes devoured and dissolved waste, while the Healer Slimes stayed at the clinic, waiting for emergencies. So lucky to have them...

“Thank you, handsome bird,” I said affectionately to a majestic eagle-like beast after it helped me locate a patch of Myrrven—a glowing blue mushroom known for its potent healing properties. It was my current quest, and with the help of my Beast Timer ability, it didn’t take long to complete.

After removing the spell on the bird, it flew off gracefully. I slung the bag of Myrrven over my shoulder and prepared to head back—until a sudden, blood-chilling scream froze me in place.

Napalingon ako sa pinanggalingan ng mga sigaw as my body tensed.

I run as fast as I could toward the screams, weaving through thick trees and bushes, until I reached the heart of the forest well-known as a place where deadly monsters roams.

There, amidst the dense underbrush and glowing fungi, I spotted a horrifying scene.

Two men, bleeding and exhausted, fought desperately with their broken sword and bow. One woman was unconscious on the ground, while another knelt beside her, casting spells at a monstrous beast that is a colossal obsidian horse with crimson eyes glowing with murderous rage.

Napasinghap ako sa nakita.

An Obsidian Horse?!

That creature shouldn’t even be here. They only live in Travïnä§, the southern part of Galantiæ. But this place... this was the South of the Eavergreén Empire. Malayo ang lugar na ito sa lugar ng mga halimaw kahit magkatulad ang direksyon nito sa mapa dahil nasa loob kami ng Empire at nasa labas naman ito. How did it get here? No... rather than, who?

Obsidian horse is a giant horse, size like a monster with purple and red marking it's body and possessing the ability to breath fire. A fire monster, level 25 and rank D. Kaya anong ginagawa ng mga rank E dito? Namumukhaan ko sila dahil kakapromote palang sa kanilang grupo noong isang linggo.
