“Oho… you’re just as unpredictable as always, Lily,” Madam Clarita said, chuckling as she placed her cup down on the table.

Nandito ako sa merchant company ngayong araw dahil balak kong bumili ng bagong lupa na pagtatayuan nang bago kong negosyo. After I finished explaining my plans, Madam Clarita stared at me with wide eyes, clearly surprised by the unusual nature of my new venture.

“Hehe, don’t flatter me, Madam,” I said shyly, scratching my cheek.

“It’s fine—actually, your timing is perfect,” she replied with a pleased smile. “There’s a newly vacant lot near your inn. The previous owner decided to move to the capital and sold the property to us just yesterday.”

It’s a perfect spot!

“Then Madam, if possible, gusto kong bilihin ang lupa kaagad,” I said eagerly. Her smile widened at my enthusiasm.

“No problem. Karla, please bring the papers for the property sold yesterday,” she called to her secretary, who immediately left the room.

As I waited, my mind was already buzzing with ideas—how the store would look, what theme I’d use, and how I’d set it up. Madam Clarita even asked what inspired me to start such a business, and I explained how I wanted to bring a new kind of joy to the people, especially the children.

Soon, Karla returned, carrying a folder, and placed it neatly on the desk in front of us.

"Here are the documents with the land's details. Read through everything carefully, and if all looks good, sign here so we can transfer the title to your name,” Madam Clarita explained, handing me the papers.

I skimmed through them, noting how spacious the land was and how ideally located it was it's just across from Luna Inn and near the village park. It was a prime location with a lot of foot traffic. The price was 30 gold coins, and honestly, it was a steal considering the potential profit once the shop opened.

After finishing the paperwork, I signed my name and handed it back.

“All settled,” she said with satisfaction. “You’re now the official owner of the land. Come back tomorrow to receive the title.”

I stood up, grinning from ear to ear, pero nagsalita siyang muli na ikinatigil ko.

“Ah, but I think you're forgetting something important, Lily.” She took a sip of tea before continuing. “To operate your own business, you need proof that you're a registered merchant. Surely, you know what I mean?”

"Oh my… I forgot!" I gasped, almost slapping my forehead.

In this world, just like on Earth, there were rules and regulations for businesses. To legally run a business, one must be registered as a merchant. If not, they could be penalized or even shut down. Thankfully, since August was already a licensed merchant, Baron Francis allowed us to temporarily operate Luna Inn under his name while I sorted out my own registration. But with everything going on, I completely forgot to apply. Thank goodness Madam Clarita reminded me.

Ngumiti ito ng marahan at muling tinanguan ang sekretarya. Mabilis na nawala sa paningin namin si Karla at hindi katagalan ay bumalik kaagad dala-dala ang isang folder na naglalaman ng document.

“Here’s the registration form. Read the terms and conditions, and sign if you agree,” Madam Clarita said, handing me the paper.

I sat down again and carefully read through the merchant registration: rules to follow, actions to avoid, and privileges granted to certified business owners. I didn’t hesitate—I signed it right away and returned it to her.

“Perfect. You’ll receive your merchant ID card tomorrow along with the land title,” she said kindly.

I stood up once more, bowed politely, and left the merchant office with a lighter heart and a skip in my step.

On my way back to the Inn, I couldn't help but grin. I can’t wait for tomorrow! I thought, halos tumalon talon na ako sa daan.

Maybe I should start sketching the store design tonight, I mused, excitement bubbling in my chest. My mind was already filled with ideas—glass jars filled with colorful sweets, a wooden sign with elegant cursive letters, a playful mascot at the entrance, and maybe even a little indoor play corner for children.

The image made me giggle softly.

'My Goddess, thank you for blessing me with another opportunity. I’ll do my best.'

As the Inn came into view, I knew this was just the beginning of another beautiful chapter.
